When our Tim Vincent interviewed Rosie, she had some typically wild words for Star Jones on how she lost all the weight:
"She has abandoned us fatties. She is not even telling us how she did it. She wrote a whole book and she never mentioned it...yeah I'd like to know...sure wasn't Pilates."
Good news is that once she replaces Meredith Vieira on 'The View', she'll have every day to hammer Star with that question until she answers.
I wonder if Rosie wishes she hadn't said that?
Probably not.
This announcement is a shocker. I thought they would have replaced Meredith with someone like her...Patricia Heaton and she seem like similar women - attractive, smart, pretty up the middle, suburban mothers. Connie Chung and Meredith have some strong similarities in their professional background. Rosie is the wild card..
That said, it's a strong move.
The photos and eyewitness accounts of Denise Richards and Richie Sambora cozying...smooching, petting, fawning, etc. have me confused.
This set of events is either a "set up" or a full on public relations disaster. If it was a "caught in the act" disaster, why were they so obvious? Neither Denise nor Richie stands to gain anything from that. She leveled scorched earth accusations against her husband Charlie Sheen: implying that he viewed underage girls performing oral sex on each other on the internet; that he pushed her down on the floor while she was holding their baby; that his prostitute habit is rampant; that he screamed at her, wishing "breast cancer" on her and cancer of the face. It just goes on and on and, in short, is awful.

While the world scrambled for the correct pronunciation of baby Suri's name, let me say how happy I am for Katie and Tom Cruise. Tom is an interesting guy. You may remember almost a year ago when I sat down with Tom for what turned out to be a half hour special - on Scientology, his marriage to Nicole, his beliefs, etc. In that interview, I challenged Tom over his position on psychiatric medicine and drugs by asking him if Brooke Shields (his 1981 co-star in "Endless Love") was wrong to take Paxil to help her deal with postpartum depression. His answer came across as scathing, but it was honest. "Where's her career now?...It's irresponsible for her..."
Weighing in on Katie Couric's move to the CBS Evening News...I'm quite sure they (CBS) have a revolutionary approach to delivering news in the making. Maybe, the broadcast originates from a living room setting and is delivered in a very conversational tone. Perhaps, that would be best. The goal maybe is to give you the feeling Katie is really "talking WITH you, not AT you". Short of dressing up on Halloween and singing with the cast of 'Hairspray', the new CBS Evening News will likely look like a chat with Katie, feet up, at the end of the day or something very different...or why do this?
I have been married 8 years to the day! I would like to take a moment to honor my wife, Sydney. Having 3 children and raising them nanny-free is what most people do (yes, I'm in touch with America at large), but it is hard. My patience gets tested every time I'm on solo duty.
My girls hug and kiss me like crazy when I walk in at day's end, but trust me, when Sydney leaves for 10 minutes and returns, a homecoming parade breaks out. She is the burning furnace of love at the center of this family.
Perhaps her greatest accomplishment is loving me, because I don't always make it easy. I can be temperamental, erratic, forgetful, but one thing is always true - I'm loyal and I love her.
The scariest thing in my life now is coming to terms with the fact that I NEED her. For emotional balance, confidence, I need her to be strong and steady in her life for me. So wind back that list of my faults and add "extremely needy" ...as well as a total wuss when I'm sick.
April 4th, 1998....Sydney Davis Bush saved my life and made me a winner.
Don't even bother throwing your hat in the ring for Cool Father of the Year, because it doesn't exist and, if it did, I'd win.
Yesterday, I took my 7 and 5 year old daughters to meet the four main cast members of Disney Channel's "High School Musical." If you have a child between 5 and 15, then you know what I'm talking about.
Given that 34 million unduplicated people have watched this film, it was imperative that we set up a big shoot. We invited all Access Employees and friends with fanatic fans under their watch.
I felt like a nervous dad meeting my son-in-law for the first time when Zac Efron, the very attractive young stud in the lead role of HSM, entered the room. My daughters blushed, their hearts were racing, I almost cried. And thankfully, he was a prince - nice, polite, charming, reached out to them and made them feel special. If he'll wait for one of them, this dad approves. (Gotta wait 20 years though).
