Buying A Piece Of Tori

So, I was snooping around Tori Spelling’s house, and I peaked inside her closet door and I have to admit, I felt a little creepy doing so. However, just as I was reaching for a t-shirt I was jolted…or should I say shoved aside - BODY BLOCKED by a woman with a box, the look of an NFL linebacker and the determination no one was going to get in her way of getting her hands on Tori’s goods.
And let me tell ya’…there were a lot of Tori’s goods to be had. It was Tori’s Yard Sale..which, true to the way things work here in Hollywood, was not in her yard at all.
The sale was in her house…And I’m mean IN…like drawers..cabinets…closets…just open them up and boom!…there is something from Tori’s personal life.
There were some items out on tables, etc. but, other than huge furniture items most of the “Spelling Stuff” was hidden away---just waiting for those women with boxes to go nuts.
When I walked into Tori’s house I expected to see an “Everything Must Go” banner hanging from a wall…because that’s how it felt.
Tori was not in the house….she was sitting on the back patio…resting. She’s six months pregnant and looked great..although a little nervous. I asked her how it feels to look inside her house and see total strangers going through her things…through her drawers…snooping around her life, as it were. She said it did make her nervous to watch and that's why she was sitting outside.
I asked Tori what happens when it’s all gone - I had visions in my head of she sitting with her husband tonight in a bare house picked-clean by the yard sale vultures - and she said they have an entire houseful of furniture waiting to come in. It seems she’s tired of her shabby-chic stuff and is going ultra modern.
Outside was a bit wild, cops to keep the peace, live news vans to broadcast the scene live, helicopters overhead and hundreds of people lined up to go inside for the chance to buy a piece of Tori.
I’ve covered many things in my career…but this had to be one of the oddest…a well known celebrity opening up her house to strangers (wait, don’t they usually like to keep them out??) and then letting them “rummage” through her stuff, buy it and take it home!!??
But then again, it didn’t seem THAT abnormal in some twisted reality-driven way.
Plus, I was thinking that some shady characters could come through posing as fans and case the joint for a later big heist. Then I asked around…and found out this was NOT Tori’s house. Well, actually it was her house at one time…but she no longer lives there.
It all seemed abnormally normal in some twisted reality-driven way.
Oh yeah, did I mention her reality show was shooting everything?
