Rosie Vs. Donald

'Twas the week before Christmas and all seemed to be quiet. Then the alley cat of morning chat starts a little riot.
I tried to avoid commenting on this latest dust between Rosie and Donald. Both are unafraid to launch verbal attacks, both are publicly pugnacious and both are doing their best to make sure there is no such thing as a quiet week in the entertainment "crap-o-sphere"
Donald played a compassionate card when he gave Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance....a smart move that would reap dividends while creating some buzz for the Miss Universe Organization (which could use some).
Everyone was happy to let him do his thing and not challenge him.....except the new queen of daytime TV, Rosie. Rosie O'Donnell was willing to publicly label Kelly Ripa a homophobe...unloading a roundhouse on the Trumpster in this case shouldn't shock you...
I wonder what Regis will do in this matter....and Kelly. Regis and Trump are close pals and Kelly has already ended up on the bitter end of a Rosie rant. Will he step in and issue some kind of statement? Probably not... Reege is not attracted to controversy, but he must be tempted.
Donald called Rosie a ratings loser when he mentioned her "failed talk show".....The View is up in the ratings more than 50% from last year since she arrived to take over the lead role. Donald is a self proclaimed ratings machine...he privately respects her greatly is my guess. Fears her? No, but I bet she frustrates him a little.
If it's true that "opposites attract", then the reverse is also true. Rosie and Donald, "Ronald", are ham on ham, no cheese. They are rich, tough, outspoken, fearless....lightning rods for controversy and PR geniuses.
Barbara Walters, one of the Executive Producers, tried to issue a "we're all friends...this will pass" statement. As I read it, I pictured her basking in the glow of Rosie's latest play call. 'The View' used to be pretty light. Now, it's straight caffeine.
Looking forward to more from these two.
There's another angle that nobody has even thought about. The reason he had to give Tara a second chance is because the first runnerup, Miss California, is an African American. Maybe he's a closet racist as well as homophobic.

Billy, I used to like you and think you were fair. Why are you bagging on Rosie? She has said NOTHING about you. I know you are friends with DT, but come on show some respect. If you dislike her fine but at least TRY for unbiased reporting. At least I understand why DT doesn't like her. You and Kimmel are just being hateful.
I use to like Rosie. I am a straight Christian woman. But in the last few years she has really lowered her standards. I can understand being funny about some things but lately she has crossed over & now she is putting people down from religious, race, to calling them homophobic. If truth be told usually when people start pointing out faults in other people & lashing out they are unhappy within themselves.If someone calls someone a homophobe then they must be heterphobe's. Either way one or both could be charged with a hate crime.

I'm not saying I always agree with Rosie, but we need people like that who defend the minorities, who are alert to hypocrisy and "call out" those who perpetrate stereotypes and bad values. She might not always be right, but I respect her for not being afraid to question and bring out these issues. I DON'T respect anyone who calls people "fat ass" "mental midgets" "loser" etc. for telling the TRUTH.
After all this, I've lost respect for Donald Trump totally. He showed his true no-class colors.
I just have a few comments, are Rosie and Donald bored? I wonder if they are doing this for ratings trying to get to the top of the page well they BOTH need to GET REAL!!! There are MORE important things to worry about besides slamming one another what example are they setting for the people of America! They must thrive on slamming each other! And I think that Rosie was very BRAVE for talking about depression, as depression is a very SERIOUS issue! I seriously don't think that Donald Trump has any CLASS OR RESPECT for HIMSELF let ALONE other PEOPLE I think that Donald should look in the MIRROR and GET REAL WITH HIMSELF!!! All HE CARES ABOUT IS MONEY!!
He isn't excally hot stuff! They both have money up the ying yang why don't they do better things with their time instead of this MESS!! I think that both of them NEED TO GROW UP!!!! For REAL NOW!! I have lost all respect for the both of them and REFUSE to watch any more of this MESS!! Until they GROW UP they aren't going to go anywhere!!!!! They should both issue public appologizes to America pretty soon they aren't going to have all those zero's behind their name because they have set the example to TEAR down each other! I'm absolutley appauld by the whole thing in fact it makes me sick! GROW UP ROSIE AND DONALD!!! GET REAL WITH YOURSELVES!!!
I no longer watch The View since Rosie O'Donnell has become a regular. She makes fun of everyone. Who does she think she is judging people. Her constant complaining is very hostile. And Barbara Walters don't lower yourself with Rosie's ignorant attitude.
She is disgrace. I wonder what her teachers saying when they listening her “speeches”?
She has no idea what she is talking about. What she does know perfectly well – is how insult people. God gave her brains without instructions.
