Globes: A Sedgwick Family Reunion
There's a great moment in tonight's Golden Globe wrap-up show when Kyra Sedgwick comes into my backstage room.
A little back story is in order first:
When I was in 6th and 7th grades I went on these spring break ski trips with my best friend and his family. These also happened to be the most mischievous years of my life.
Harry Sedgwick and his wife Robin (Kyra's stepmother) were definitely some of the coolest of the parents....I imagine they still are. But Harry and I bonded over a mutual propensity toward immature behavior.
One night, I snuck into his hotel room and pulled saran wrap tightly over the open face of his toilet bowl.....in hopes that, in the middle of the night, he would go #1 and it would ricochet all over the walls.
Harry Sedgwick got me back by short sheeting my bed. That's how I remember it. So now.....
So, Kyra called her dad on our banana phone backstage and it was hysterical. He wanted to make sure I was at least treating HER well. Haha...a classic moment.
Also, in the middle of her emotional call to dad, he puts her on HOLD!! She went after him, saying "Dad, where did you go??". It's very funny...Kyra goes after her dad as only a daughter can to her father.
In the end, Harry says to Kyra, "Isn't Billy Bush nice?" She says....
"He IS nice...today."
Let that be a reminder: a woman only loves ONE man unconditionally....her dad.

Billy when you mentioned a honeymoon in Hackensack, were you refering to Hackensack, Mn. Hackensack, Mn. is a really fun town with alot of Lakes. The home of 127 lakes in a 10 mile radius. If Laura had her honeymoon in Northern Mn. in the summer she would have alot of fun. And yes I would love Tickets to see Grease on Broadway. I did pick the right Sandy. GLENN FROM Hachensack, Mn.
