INSIDE THE ANNA NICOLE COURTROOM (Fri.): Paternity Jurisdiction Trial Begins
Judge Lawrence L. Korda, pictured left
*** COURT ADJOURNED - JUDGE KORDA WILL ISSUE REPORT MONDAY MORNING ***
(10:13 AM) - As soon as we are escorted into the hearing, Birkhead attorney Deborah Opri and Stern lawyers Ron Rale and Krista Barth step out together. They return in about 2 minutes. As soon as they are seated, they begin bickering though I couldn't really hear what it was about. Clearly though, they were irritated with each other.
(9:53 AM) - Larry Birkhead, sister Judy and the fiery Deborah Opri have arrived. Birkhead, wearing dark sunglasses in the dimly lit hallway walked past without saying anything.
(9:43 AM) - Wow! What a difference a day makes. As I pulled up to the courthouse the media was out in full force. Looks like they're ready for the same fireworks as the last couple of days. Upstairs on the 8th floor, the mood is much different. With only the Birkhead camp coming to pursue its paternity case, the court is not expecting a full house. Unlike the Anna Nicole hearing, media passes are not being assigned. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and with the hearing scheduled to begin in about 40 minutes, it doesn't appear as if anyone will be turned away from the courtroom which is down the hall and around the corner from the Anna Nicole hearing room. Yesterday the halls were buzzing with reporters, sheriff's deputies constantly yelling to clear an aisle to allow other people to get through and go about their business. Today, there about a dozen of us, casually chatting, with more interest on when Virgie's appeal will be filed and what will happen in that case than they are with the upcoming Birkhead fight.
To give you an idea of just how laid back it is up here, Judge Ross, one of the judges on the 8th floor, just came out with a box of Dunkin' Donuts for us (yes I ate one). He said it was real "cop food" and asked if we needed anything else. I said "a glass of milk would be nice." His response, "get Judge Seidlin's credit card." Guess even the other judges in the courthouse were tuned into the Anna Nicole hearing.
Larry should be able to take his daughter, after all, we all know Dannielynn is not Howards daughter! Anna & her son SHOULD NOT be BURIED in the BAHAMAS, they both should go with Anna's mother & rest in peace together in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!
I think that Howard K. Stern is Dannielynn's father. I also think th Anna Nicole's Mother needs to BACK OFF and let Anna Nicole be buried next her son, Daniel in the Bahamas where she wants to be buried. Because if Anna Nicole didn't want to be buried next to Daniel in the Bahamas. She wouldn't have bought the burial plot next to Daniel's. I think her mother is pretty sick and twisted. She had all this time to be there for Anna Nicole. She could've been apart of Anna Nicole's life when she was alive and she chose not to be. Now that Anna Nicole is no longer here on earth. Now she decides she wants to part of Anna Nicole's and Dannielynn's life. I think she just too little too late for that.
I hope this guy gets the job done right. Anna clearly loathed her mother who I think is only fighting for two reasons: 1) GUILT; 2) She's a control freak. Anna seemed like the sweetest person and the only time I ever heard her speak negatively in the media about ANYONE at all was when she said how her mother had let her down. Anna said she was abused by her stepfather and brother which her mother turned a blind eye to, and also beat her. No wonder the girl was so messed up!
Regarding Daniel's death from suspected methadone overdose... I've seen programs about drug abuse where people have mixed the methadone with orange juice and stored it in the fridge. There has been at least one instance where a child has died from ingesting methadone laced juice that was kept within reach. If either Anna or Howard were using this drug and had such a juice drink in the hospital room when Daniel was visiting, it could have easily been drank by him accidentally, causing his death. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what happened.
There's an elephant in the living room... Howard K. Stern has violated the rules that regulate the practice of law in California. He groomed Anna from the moment he was retained on the Marshall case. He has been exploiting her for years and now that he has positioned himself to not only receive 6% of a contingency fee should the Marshall estate come through, but he is also the executor of Anna's will and the alleged secondary beneficiary to 7 of Anna's life insurance policies. Why have we heard nothing from the California Bar? See www.advocateweb.org for more info on exploitation by trusted helping professionals.
Because Anna wanted Dannielynn to be raised by a specific custodial adult, that should be upheld. If there is a different biological father than the custodial parent, the biological father should be ordered to pay child support to the custodial parent.
