One 'Lucky' Girl
by Ryan Patterson, Supervising Producer
Some stars are born with amazing DNA... others create what nature didn't give them at the plastic surgeon's office. Mostly- though- it's all about having a personal beauty squad at their disposal day in and day out. A good team can camouflage anything...bad skin, bad hair, lack of sleep, wrinkles, plastic surgery scars, being hung over...you name it.
Yes, it's good to be rich and famous, and even though I am neither, I got a taste of the celebrity life when I was lucky enough to pose for the March issue of Lucky magazine. I was the subject of one of the magazine's regular features, "Hair Diaries."
A wonderful team of people worked their magic- a makeup artist, hair stylist, photographer, lighting assistant and of course- the magazine editor.
My makeup was flawless, my hair never looked better, and everyone was so nice and encouraging. But as someone who always works BEHIND the camera- I never felt sillier than when I was in front of the lens, trying my best to "Strike a pose." Still, I must say, I am happy with the final results...and have new respect for stars who can "make love" to the camera in front of a room full of strangers.
They say it takes a village...for me it was a team of five people to transform a regular gal to glamorous gal.
Hey, a girl could get used to this.
I think brittney is an amazing woman. To put up with the crap the media does and still make it through the day shows her strenght. I wish we could all be as strong as her.
