Getting To Know Heather Mills

How many times have you judged someone without ever meeting them?

Without taking the time to get to know their true spirit and character? When have you made up your mind after gathering bits and pieces of information from various sources and "created" a person who was made up of one's imagination?

All of us have been guilty of such actions and there is a good chance that, at one time or another, Heather Mills, was on the receiving end.

We were all introduced to Heather when she married Paul McCartney.

Since the couple's very public divorce, Heather has seen firsthand how people can judge someone without ever getting to know them.

In divorce, rarely is there a good guy and bad guy. Usually there is enough blame to go around when a marriage crumbles.

I have no idea what type of person Heather Mills is to, be married to however, I do know she gained the respect of millions by putting herself in the spotlight, once again, and dancing on the popular show, "Dancing With The Stars".

I interviewed her this evening about the challenges of performing with an artificial leg - the result of a horrific accident. Heather is very nonchalant about the day that changed her life. She was walking across the street when a police motorcycle came around the corner, hit her and chopped off her leg. No whining. No anger. No looking back on her days of modeling. In a society obsessed with perfection, she is the picture of self-confidence.

She knows what we wish so many of our young girls would embrace - that you are a complete person regardless of what you don't have. While many would not venture out without makeup or the latest designer duds, Heather is secure enough to wear short dresses that expose her missing limb. While many are afraid to take risks, she welcomes challenges that may expose her weakness. In a society where image is everything, she can laugh at herself, take off her leg, show you how it works and educate you about the need to help amputees take control of their lives with affordable prosthetics.

There are only two people who know exactly what happens in a marriage. And we would all be naive to think that reading snippets here and there would give us a clear picture of what went wrong in a union of two people.

I do know that anytime a woman can be secure in her imperfections, that sends the message to all women to love yourself just as you are.

I do not like Heather Mills but i LOVE Access Hollywood. I Tivo you guys but i don't want to give ratings to anything that is supportive to this woman. Take a hint from the Brits. Please stop covering her.. Please. She can't force us like to her with an American media blitz. Give it up so i don't have to remove you from my Tivo.

I didn't like Heather Mills from all the press but since I saw her dancing I think the girl has a great outlook on life and she has alot of guts. I say good for her.
She's a survivor who is making a wonderful thing out of a tradgedy. Go Girl!

I don't care for Heather Mills as far as her dancing I hope she doesn't win because of her handy cap. That would be a real shame just like the last show with Mario Lopez he should have won the boy can dance.. It should be based on talent!!!

Why is no one questionning Paul's motives? Why doesn't he provide better security for his daughter and call the press off? He is living a shallow selfish existence and is willing to sacrifice his own daughter to save his sad little image. Women should be enraged. I hope she gets 1/2 his money
