Buzzing Around Cannes With Seinfeld
Well the Europeans definitely know who Jerry Seinfeld is.
I wasn't sure how many people would show up, press wise, for his “BEE MOVIE” stunt, but it’s packed.
Jerry is doing a zip line jump off the legendary Carlton hotel, across from the beach...he will end up on a platform that jets into the water about 100 yds.
Jerry told me yesterday that he had practiced twice, was not nervous and was ready to go. Even DreamWorks Animation boss Jeffrey Katzenberg made the jump.
I hate to say it, but the slim chance of error, is what gathers the masses. Terrible to say.
The French have a great invention. You will never hit the buffet the same way again. The plate clip!! (Access producer Adam Jordan shows off the famed plate clip.)
Don't you hate it when you're at the buffet line and you're loading up your plate and you have no way of holding your glass? Yes you do and now the clip, glass holder thing, is here to make it all better. This may not be a French discovery but I found it here.
The courage award in Cannes goes to our executive producer, my friend, Rob Silverstein. Taking one for the team and helping out the gang in accounting, he is sleeping on a cot in my room. He's the boss!! While the bulk of our crew is a few miles out of town in a great hotel with great sheets...he and I are in a dump with sandpaper sheets. At least I have a king.
