Free Paris Fizzles Out
This morning in the local New York City paper there was a blurb about a 'Free Paris' rally in Washington Square Park.
I instantly knew I'd be attending.
Covering this type of stuff can be intellectually draining sometimes, so when it appeared there'd be a chance to engage, debate and perhaps spar with some Paris loyals, I had to seize it.
I am just leaving now as dejected and empty as ever. There were more photographers and video bloggers than "activists" at this event. Three people can't constitute a rally, can they? In short, the cause didn't gain much traction.
The worst part is that two out of the three demonstrators were out for a laugh...victims themselves of extreme boredom.
In summary, they just don't protest like they used to....
Paris Hilton's mother spoke of people having class? Just how much class does her daughter have - wealth, social position, education, and fame notwithstanding. This is a young woman who has no class whatever, and certainly no sense of social propriety, obligation, and responsibility.
About time they made that child pay. That child tend to get away with everything she dose. If her mom and dad can't or won't do anything. Then the courts sould. Maybe she will wake up and see money don't buy everthing.
I think Paris needs to grow up and take responsibility like everyone else in the real world. If you do the crime you must be willing to do the time is what I say. She is no different than anyone else in this world. Just because she has money doesnt mean she is entitled to anything the rest of us arent entitled to. I'm furious that they have cut her sentence down. What's wrong with America's justice system??????
