The "Heroes" are Back!

Lots to report today from the "Heroes" front! Production on NBC's crazy popular Sci-Fi adventure series started up two days ago. This morning NBC held a press conference to announce the news that the cast would be traveling on a 7-day, 7-city world tour co-sponsored by Nissan to help promote the Season One DVD and the launch of the show overseas. I spoke to the entire cast after the press conference. All the scoop on what I learned for you "Heroes" worshippers.

* The tour is set for the end of August to coincide with the August 28th release of the DVD and HD DVD. The DVD will feature the entire 73-minute uncut version of the pilot and 50 deleted scenes!

* Whether Adrian Pasdar's character Nathan Petrelli will be back is still fuzzy (pun intended!). He still has the crazy beard that he claims was for a movie role he shot during hiatus.

* Producers and writers have already mapped out the first half of season two. They won't tell us anything though of course!

* The "Heroes" will be returning to the San Diego ComicCon this year armed with behind the scenes footage, clips and announcements they are saving just for the event.

* It was revealed that as of now "Heroes: Origins" will run as a six episode anthology AFTER the entire 24 episode "Heroes" season two finishes up in April...which gives "Origins" a prime run during May Sweeps.

* The real name of Jack Coleman's character, formerly known as HRG, was revealed to be Noah. As of right now his scripts still say HRG.

* Executive Producer/Creator, Tim Kring says of the news that blonde haired/blue eyed actor David Anders (bad guy Sark on "Alias") will play ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, "Like with everything on "Heroes" nothing is quite what it seems to be. So there is clearly some subterfuge there that has to be unearthed and dealt with and that becomes a huge part of the story is the reveal of who this character really is."

* Masi Oka spent his hiatus filming two movies one of which was "Get Smart" with Steve Carell. Ali Larter was busy filming "Resident Evil:Extinction"

* Milo Ventimiglia accidentally confirmed he will return for season two thus surviving his nuclear explosion. When asked about his brand spanking new haircut he began to reply, " I think it was something that was necessary for Peter to come back in the same..." Hayden Panettiere steps in and stops him from finishing that sentence. We get the drift though. A piece of Milo's hair is hanging in a frame inside Producer Dennis Hammer's office at the studio.
