Inside the HSM2 Premiere

2:40 I've counted the camera crews. There are 22. That's a lot of crews for a little Disney film. There are at least one hundred journalists seated. It's insane. I hear Australian press, Japanese press, Indian press and tons of teeny bopper magazines like Tiger Beat and BOP.

2:42 Monique has a great quote, "There are seven-year-old girls that don't know their parents birthdays but know when HSM2 comes out."

2:43 Ok here is what you really want to know. Vanessa is wearing a grey silk off the collar blouse with skinny black jeans and black and white heels. Zac sits next to her in a black long sleeve Henley t-shirt, khaki cargo pants and white flip flops. Monique wears a yellow strapless dress with brown piping and a brown belt at the waist. . Lucas has on a white golf shirt and grey cargo pants. Ashley wears a white dress. Prediction: They will all be changed into different outfits for the premiere, which starts in one hour and fifteen minutes.

2:50 Producers talk about the fact that there will be a feature film for HSM 3 but nothing else has been settled in terms of who will be in it. I hear that Zac is the hold out.

2:54 Cast spouts off all their worst summer jobs. Lucas says he worked at Blockbuster, which he calls a "crappy" job. Olesya Rulin says she worked at Victoria's Secret. Kaycee Stroh worked as a tap dance teacher to two-year-olds. Monique wore costumes for kids parties like a Powerpuff Girl and Scooby-Doo. No one else chimes in.

2:57 Oleysa talks about filming "Major Movie Star" with Jessica Simpson. Chris Warren jokingly chimes in "you gonna hook me up?"

3:15 Arrive back to the blue carpet. It's boiling hot. Sun is out in full blast. Come to find that the AH.com spot has not been marked. Stand up at the media center trying to deal with this little problem. Very sweaty. Let's hope it cools down before this starts.

3:25 We are given the LA Times spot as they apparently are no longer covering.

3:30 Talk to tons of fans who I come to find out have been out here since 2am to get these prime spots! I spend the next half hour having them ask some questions that I will then ask the HSM stars. A couple of people ask for my autograph which is very strange for me.

4:00 The blue carpet is officially open, though no stars arrive for at least twenty minutes.

4:20 The first Disney star to arrive is "Cheetah Girl" Sabrina Bryan.

4:30 The fans begin to scream which means one of the HSM stars has arrived. We are half way down the carpet so I can’t see who it is.

4:40 Kaycee Stroh runs into actress Kathy Najimy and tells her she loves her and asks for a hug. Kaycee comes over and talks to me about her 30-pound weight loss. She looks cute in a strapless Jessica McClintock cocktail dress. She gives a shout out to Orkut.com who inundated me with emails. Nice tactic guys.

4:45 Oleysa has the same dress on from the press conference. She looks so different from shy little Kelsey the piano player. It's a grey and white strapless BCBG dress with Jessica Simpson shoes.

4:50 I talk to Phil Lewis who plays Mr. Moseby on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody". It seems he is the only one there representing the show tonight. I guess they were filming.

5:00 I talk to the adorable Mark Indelicato who plays the young nephew on "Ugly Betty." I rope him into singing a little "Bop til You Drop" for me.

5:10 I catch Ashley Tisdale's mom walking down the blue carpet with Ashley's dancer boyfriend, Jared Murillo. He's wearing a red t-shirt and stops for a picture with a fan.

5:14 Talk to Cody Linley from "Hannah Montana" who plays Miley's love interest Jake Ryan. The fans go nutso for this kid. I go all eighties nerd on him when I hear this name, Jake Ryan. He says that yes it’s an homage to "Sixteen Candles". He tells my new pal next to me Jess Zaino from J-14 magazine and the host of Style networks "Modern Girl's Guide to Life" he has a crush on the Food Network's Giada DeLaurentis because she is beautiful and can cook.

5:20 Jess notices that Ashley Tisdale's sister Jennifer is wearing the gold bangles that Ashley had on at the press conference earlier today. She tells her they share clothes all the time but not shoes because their feet are different sizes.

5:25 Somehow Ashley's boyfriend, Jared has come back through the carpet. He now has a publicist who tells us he has no idea about their relationship but please ask about his new boy band called The Factory. They just signed with Warner Records, which is also Ashley's label. The fans know who he is and ask for autographs, which surprises me. I ask if that it’s weird to him for fans to know him from his relationship. He quickly changes the subject to his new record deal. Someone has taught him the art of avoidance well! He's a cutie though. I can see why Ashley likes him. Maybe The Factory will be the next 'NSync.

5:30 Talk briefly to "Hannah Montana's" Mitchel Musso who plays Oliver. The fans seem to care way less about him than Cody.

5:35 Talk to Chris Warren from HSM. I Am shocked and stunned to find out that his mom is "Passions" actress Brooke Kerr. She is with him and his dad Christopher, who is Chris' manager. She looks like his twin sister not his mother. Even more scary is that she plays a teenager on "Passions" but is really 33 years old.

5:40 Finally get to speak to Ashley. She is wearing a cream colored BCBG Runway strapless dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. She couldn't recall the name of them and actually takes one off to show me. She answers a couple of questions from the fans.

5:45 This is where the carpet starts to get crazy. The publicists want everyone in their seats in fifteen minutes. This means any of the press who are in the middle of the crush of media are not guaranteed to get interviews with the stars. But I have all these fan questions! Arghhhhh.

5:50 Vanessa Hudgens looks stunning in a red floor length gown by Jay Godfrey. She looks Oscar red carpet worthy but maybe it's a bit much for a daytime premiere of a Disney film. Big disappointment when her crafty publicist pulls her away from the press to sign autographs. This is a move that rude publicists use when they don't want their clients to do any more interviews. So, no fan questions for V. Sorry. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast continues to do interviews.

6:00 Miley Cyrus looks adorable in a purple BEBE dress. Her dad is with her but gets pulled over to the fans. I do get in one question from a fan.

6:07 It's touch and go on whether I would get Zac as publicists are screaming all around me that he needs to go in. I get in my fan question though and it's a juicy one. Be sure and check out the video for it too.

6:10 Monique Coleman looks great in purple. She had no idea who the dress was by until her mom looked at the tag. She is the last star on the carpet. My heart breaks when one fan tells me she drove all the way down from San Francisco and could not get to the fan pit. Unfortunately, most fans had shown up around 2am to hold the spots. That's dedication!

6:25 Finally a break. Dinner with Billy Bush and my crew at the House of Blues followed by Haagen Dazs ice cream. Yummy!

8:15 I arrive at the after party at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. The party is at the hotel's pool. I give the camera a tour of the setup.

8:40 Chris Warren arrives at the party.

8:42 The DJ does a Karaoke sing along to “What Time Is It.” No one really partakes for some reason.

8:44 Billy Ray Cyrus chats with "24" star Ricky Schroder who has his daughter on his shoulders. At the same time Lucas makes his way into the party followed seconds later by Ashley. She has changed into flip flops. She sees me gives me a smile and then throws her arms up in excitement to be there and dances in.

9:00 Tony's Potts daughter Alexz tells me she saw a quick shot of Miley Cyrus at the end of the "All For One" song. Hmmm. I didn't see it but maybe it’s there. Be sure and check for it on Friday and let me know if you catch it too.

9:05 My friend and fellow producer Cara spots the Beckham's kids. Ashley had told me on Thursday at our private screening on stage that the Beckham's kids wanted to come to the premiere and meet everyone. No sign of David or Posh. It's just two massive, scary looking bodyguards and a woman who looks a lot like Posh but heavier with more masculine features. (A late night Google search reveals that it's her sister Louise.) The kids talk to Miley Cyrus. The bodyguards yell at our cameras that we can not shoot the Beckham kids with our video camera.

9:10 Kenny Ortega brings the entire cast up to introduce them at the party. We try to sneak a photo of the Beckham kids but wind up mainly with the backs of their heads as too many people were in the way. Fortunately, the bodyguards don't see us and beat us up.

9:15 The kids who are part of the HSM parade at California Adventure come out and perform as well as some synchronized swimmers. They finish performing and then its time to leave

9:30 As I walk to my car, I'm serenaded the entire time by the nightly fireworks coming from Disneyland. Pretty darn cool... Loud, but cool
