'Zanessa' On 'HSM 3' & Taking Their Romance Public
I wish I could tell you I was actually there taking in all the action at this weekend's Teen Choice Awards.
It looked like a ton of fun but unfortunately my dog had to have surgery on his leg. So, I was home playing nurse to my 75-pound baby who was milking it for every single second of extra attention. Cross your fingers that his biopsy comes back negative because I don't know what I'll do if it turns out he has cancer. Anyway, this is not why you clicked into this blog.
You want to know what's going on with "High School Musical 3," how are Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens dealing with life since their romance became public and what was everyone wearing.
Will all the main stars be back, specifically Zac and Vanessa to HSM3? I watched both interviews and to be perfectly honest there is not much new information. Obviously it's not a done deal at all. Everyone pretty much keeps saying the same thing: that they really want to do it and hope to return. Since I know everyone is interested though, here is what each had to say about the sequel last night...
Zac told us, "I wish I knew more, I really wish I knew more but nothing's really happened since the last time I talked to everybody. Right now we're just trying to get the movie together. It will be a fun movie to do and it's a dream making these things, it's just fun. I have no idea yet. I'm still trying to figure it out."
As for all the rumors of offers flooding in for other projects like "Footloose" or "Seventeen", Zac tells us nothing is a done deal, "I wish I could say. Truthfully it's not because I want to hide it or I have some master game plan that I'm trying to keep quiet, I just don't know. I have no idea yet. I'm still trying to figure it out."
Vanessa had very little to add on the HSM3 topic, "Everyone is still in negotiations so no one has signed the contract or anything."
She did however have lots to say about the lack of privacy she is experiencing since her relationship with Zac became tabloid fodder, "The paparazzi, they're crazy. I'm not a huge fan of them just because I'm a very private person. I love keeping my personal life to myself so them following you around is kind of annoying.
I think everyone in Hollywood who someone cares about they will hound no matter what."
Poor Zac can't even go out his front door without pesky photographers in his face, "There's no part of me that likes it. They live with me out in front of my house now. I'm still getting used to that."
On the fashion front Vanessa went with a floor length dress, a pale yellow strapless with a bold grey pattern on the bottom by Thread Social dress and Roberto Cavalli shoes, which she told us she was proud to say she was wearing. From all the pictures I've seen though, you can’t actually see her shoes!
Monique Coleman looked adorable in a knee length plaid sweetheart dress by English Prep. Her peep toe fuchsia shoes were by Christian Louboutin, the clutch purse by Rodo and accessories by Gas. The girl knew her stuff this time, which is surprising considering at the HSM2 premiere she had no clue what she was wearing and told me "it wasn't about fashion tonight."
If I were Ashley Tisdale, I’d be sort of annoyed today. The very adorable BCBG Runway dress she wore to the HSM2 premiere was spotted last night again on the red carpet, this time on Kelly Clarkson. Yep, she wore the same dress to the Teen Choice Awards. Guaranteed you will see a "Who Wore It Best" in every single tabloid magazine this week.
Jessica Alba looked pretty in a yellow strapless dress by Yigal Azrouel dress and shoes by Christian Louboutin. She won Female Choice Hottie and you can see why!
The always fashionable Fergie wore an adorable polka dot dress by Moschino and grey peep toed shoes by Pachadi.
America Ferrera looked grown up in a grey and white striped Nanette Lepore dress.
Idol winner Jordin Sparks with a new cropped hairdo looked cute in her purple dress was by Betsey Johnson. She told us it was the first dress she tried on and she loved it because she wanted something bright.
Sophia Bush looked hot in a va va voom black and white tight mini dress by Herve Leger accented with adorable red Jimmy Choo shoes. She also wore diamonds by Venus which she told us were "straight out of India, non-conflict."
Tia Mowry's extremely colorful dress was by BCBG and her jewelry by Chanel.
HSM star Kaycee Stroh looked fun in a BCBG dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. Her co-star, Olesya Rulin, went for practical chic in a Banana Republic dress and BCBG shoes. Who needs couture!
The gold and black mini dress Hilary Duff wore on the red carpet was by Corey Lynn Calter.
"The Hill's" Lauren Conrad's teal bubble dress was her own design from her new Lauren Conrad Collection line. She thought it was a bit too "bubbly" when she put it on and decided to add the gold belt to it.
Emmy Rossum's pink one shoulder dress was by Catherine Malandrino and the shoes by Brian Atwood.
"Friday Night Light's" Adrianne Palicki looked super hot in her pink fitted dress was by Tadashi and her shoes by Kenneth Cole.
Honestly, there probably hasn't been any new High School Musical 3 or Zac Efron news in the past month. The news and magazine articles are just regurgitating news that is "supposedly new", but fans that keep up to date have known this information for a while.
People Magazine in reporting a real-life romance in this week's issue, but the outing of the couple has been declared for a couple of weeks now.
I think that there should not be reports of HSM for a while until something concrete comes up. I'm a superfan, close to stalker actually, and even I'm getting kind of sick of the publicity cash cow these kids are getting. And Zac and Vanessa are not fans of the paparazzi. Let's give everyone a break.

Nicole, you are so right on. Sadly, the story of Zanessa sells magazines right now. It's the nature of the business, especially after the phenomenal ratings the movie got. No one outside of the teen mags really paid that much attention (except for Access because of our exclusive set visit) to HSM 2 until Zac came out in Hairspray and made the cover of Rolling Stone. Now everyone wants to cash in on the films success and a real life romance is the perfect way to do it. This new fascination with HSM is an attempt to get the young fans to pick up magazines they might not typically buy. From what I know, there is a not a final script. I don't blame anyone for not signing on until they see it.
Since I've been covering this story since March when I went to the set, I want to keep giving out as much information as I get. I don't read the teen fanzines though, so it might not be new but it's what I know. This is also why I included all the fashion info because people always email me about the clothes. And remember too this is a blog where I try and give my opinions and many times try to give people who aren't in the business an idea of what it's really like behind the scenes. It's why im always asking people to tell me their thoughts on a story. You can't do that with a magazine. It's why I love blogs.

You know what the way you talk about Vanessa is in a negative sort of way and that sucks coz Vanessa has a whole army of fans more than Ashley who i like aswell but if you keep describing her in a bad way a we are not gonna visit your precious site! there are alot others you know

I completely agree with Nicole. I am a huge fan of HSM and love reading about the stars but its just getting crazy. Plues these pagazine are now all coming out with stories at the same time with information that HSM fans have already known. Mostly I feel bad for Zac as the paparazzi truely is living outside his apartment as we have seen recently with some photographs that came out of Vanessa outside his apartment in the morning. Taking pictures of celebs out in public is one thing but stalking them outside their house is something I dont agree with.

I think it is crazy that they attack them like they do! I love hearing news about the biggest couple in hollywood just as much as you do but i also feel bad because who wants a stalker in there life. Not only 1 stalker but a world filled with them! life must be great but must also suck!!!
Im a HUGE fan, but somehow i dont get alot of info, but all ive heard is zac and vanessa, i mean, im not saying their not interesting and great to hear about, but Ashley, and Corbin and Monique, get nothing. Well ashley gets a bit... anyway thanks for posting! Love the info!
