A Fan Reacts: 'Ms. Spears Has Lost Me Forever'

The whole VMA thing has to be one of the lamest events in history of television.
It's almost like the gathering of the white trash event, and it is almost the same line up every year.
The holier then now altitudes that these artist present is a disgusting reality check to what MTV has brought to us and has brainwashed the American people to believing that this is how musicians are.
Britney Spears is nothing but the shadow of what the police bust everyday on the streets; and it is very amusing to me how MTV would of course would put her on stage to lip sink (none the less) but to also have and knowledge that she will make a complete ass of herself and boost the ratings.
As for the Tommy Lee and Kid Rock (aka The Hepatitis Kid), That was nothing more then you would see in the downtown streets of Vegas between to bums fighting. All in all these artist (if that’s what you want to call most of them) need to retire to an island where we can give them speed, bats, and beer and let them fight it out like the human beans they portray themselves to be.

OMG! What happened to Spears?!? I watched the webcast of her opening performance and it could best be described as half A$$! Not only did she look like she didn't want to be there but the hole thing looked forced. She used to be a great live show to watch but no its just plain painful to have to endure something this awful! Wig was bad, body not best suited to wear that kind of an outfit anymore and the dancers looked like they were more excited to be there then she did! Her choice of song was horriable techno trash, and when they cut to the audience Kidrock looked like he was laughing at her and the other audience members looked like they would after having a root canal without novicane!

How could Britney even think for one minute that her performance last night was of come back quality? How could her manager, family and every one close to her, allow her to go up there on stage and make a fool of herself. What everyone needs to do is stop pay attention to her, stop photograghing her every move. "Your 15 minutes of fame is up Britney." She needs to fade into the sunset and be a mother to her 2 beautiful sons. "Exit stage left while you still have the smallest shred of dignity left."

I'm totally with you...I too had an ounce of hope, and I trully believed that she could stage an amazing comeback---but I was so wrong!

Britney's performance was so insulting to her fans (if she has any left out there). Her lack of enthusiasm, bad lipsync and her inability to walk in high heel boots is just repulsive.

Britney please have some self respect and hang it up my dear....you're done sit back and enjoy your money, and please-please raise those kids right. God Bless.

What was she thinking? She has a chance to come back and "WOW" us and doesn't take the time to REHEARSE !!!!!!

Admittedly, yesterday was not Britney's finest five minutes... and with all that was riding on this performance, it is surprising how any one of her agents/managers/label executives let her perform an opening act after such a long hiatus. I mean come on....... and with that nit-wit Sarah Silverman's monologue right afterwards... what did people expect??? She was nervous... and who can blame her??? She has been ridiculed for MONTHS for being a bad mother and party girl... and this performance was supposed to be her "comeback"... she buckled under pressure... BIG DEAL. It happens to the best of us under much less severe circumstances. Give her a break... honestly... the true test will be if she is able to lift her head up, admit she looked like a fool, and move forward. LASTLY... for all of you morons who criticized her little belly... LOOK AT YOURSELVES IN THE MIRROR AFTER TWO KIDS... She needs to tighten up a little, but she is in no way FAT... Critics are idiots.

I am very disappointed in Britney. She really is just a sad reflection of her former self. I was never a Britney fanatic, but her performances (especially her VMA performances) have always been shocking/newsworthy. Last night, was just pathetic.
Where was the energy?

She didn't even try to look excited!! She looked bored as heck. For crying out loud, I think I could have danced better than her.

Her fans have been waiting for this performance. She may not know it, but alot of people were rooting for her (even the haters!).

She should have just given the finger to her remaining loyal fans. It would have been cheaper, and less embarassing.

Why is everyone so focused on Britney. She is lost and we're all hoping she can comeback. VMA show is a joke except for Alicia Keys performance.

I was in my late 20's when Britney hit big, and although I would not call myself a BIG FAN-I have always loved the drive she had, her catchy tunes and her ability to put on an amazing show. The story of how she rose to the top is very inspiring. I admired her parents, and the people that helped her achieve her success.

I get that Britney is at that age where she just wants to break away from that young girl image. All she probably wants is people to see her and respect her as the young adult that she is, but she is going about it the wrong way.

LETTER TO BRITNEY: If you happen to read this, all I want to tell you is that getting married, having a couple of kids, and making one bad decision after another does not make you an adult. Learn to make better decisions, especially when that darn paparazzi is all around you. And always remember that everything you do will affect your kids sooner or later. YOUR KIDS SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY no matter what!

SO ABOUT THE VMA's-Forget what happend this past weekend....LEAVE THE OLD BRITNEY ON THAT STAGE, and just move on girl. Take sometime to gather your thoughts, put your family dilemas in order, take care of your kids and soon you will see that it could all turn around for you.

All the negitive things that are going on in your personal life are affecting your image, and image is part of your career. Don't think for a moment that because you ALREADY HAVE A NAME in this business that you can put on a bikini, strut your stuff on stage without any effort, and the public is still going to love you. The public remembers!!!-and the public wheather they are fans or not, THEY ARE who you need on your side to make it happen again.

An Old Supporter

Thank God for Sean. He is the only one that feels for her besides me. Yes, she needs help, but don't we all. I pray Diddy will take her somewhere and help her. She will be bigger than ever someday and you know what, if she is never in the spotlight again and lives a beautiful life with her children, then more power to her. I am still with B. Screw everyone else. Thank you Sean for being the beautiful soul you are.

I am so sick of people dogging on Brittney! Leave the girl alone! She has been through alot this year,but that doesn't mean she's a bad person or that she is not making a comeback.If we all were in the eyes of the public 24/7 i'm sure that we wouldn't look great either. I think Brittney is a great mother and a performer. I will not give up on her. And I think everyone saying crap about her will eat their words very soon.

im still a fan. i think britney spears can bring it back. she just needs to get it together.Leave the party scene, and just stay to her kids and doing what she loves which is her music.I think her performance wasn't as good either. but why don't we talk about what sarah silverman said about her kids. you don't say that about nobody's kid no matter if your just joking. that joke is not funny. i didn't seen no humor in it. she should be saying sorry to britney. Now Kanye west he needs to know that he is not the best.

I don't think Britney wants to do this any more. Perhaps she thinks the more money I make the more money her EX will need and the harder he will fight her for her children.. Or maybe she is really having problems with drugs ,. Her movements where so sluggish. I don't think she is fat. I think she had on the wrong costume.

all you hear is negitive blogs... as much as i thought she wouldve came back strong...you had to understand ..look at all the scrutiny shes been undergoing....im sure she was nervous and scared.... although i must say she has done it to herself. All these celebs with so much $..what a blessing they have and just really don't appreciate it and enjoy it they way they should...with REAL friends and family..life is short... we are not promised tomorrow. All the glam and $ ....you can't take with you ... look at the world and all the terrible things going on... try making a positive difference...

You all best look in the mirror before judging. I would kill for her body and I bet most of you would too. She looks beautiful and healthy, unlike the sickly looking Angelina Jolie. Get over this Hollywood stick thin crap it looks gross. And to the "old lady" who said Brit looked fat I have one word: Jealous!! Brit you are beautiful and this too will pass. You are a wonderful mother and artist. Once the dust settles with your life you will regain your confidence and be better than ever. Hang in there!

It is deplorable what the media is doing to this girl by speaking negative of her and continuously critizing her as if wanting her personal destruction. The media with the help of the papparatzi is murdering her over and over and successfully sabotaging her life. This should be a crime punishable by law! There are many celebrities who have conducted thenselves in the same or worse behavior but the media leaves them alone, covers it up, or celebrates them. What hypocrites!!!!!
