A Hot 'Dance' Romance
It seems a nice little romance blossomed behind the scenes at "So You Think You Can Dance." There have been rumors circling around the internet about whether or not dancers Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Konishi were more than just friends, after they were spotted together looking cozy at The Grove mall here in Los Angeles. Now, I can confirm that Lacey and Hok are in fact a couple.
On Friday during rehearsals for the "So You Think You Can Dance" Tour, which kicks off September 21st in Albany, NY, dancer Lauren Gottlieb let this information slip out when I asked about any love connections behind the scenes, "actually there is Hok and Lacey, I think they are official and I think they have been official."
This information was backed up by other dancers to me including season three winner Sabra Johnson and finalist Neil Haskell.
So here I am thinking, since I only watch the show sporadically, that this is old news. However, when I approached this newly anointed couple with the information about their dating they were 100 percent shocked that I knew. Lacey shouted out, "What? Wait. Wait. Where did you get that information from?"
I told them that their fellow dancers had spilled the beans. So, a defeated Lacey fessed up and admitted, "Alright you caught us."
So how did these two lovebirds fall for each other, despite the fact that they never once danced together as a twosome during the SYTYCD season? Hok says it happened gradually, "It wasn't like we were partners and we spent time together."
They have in fact known each other since last season according to Lacey. Her older brother, Benji, winner of SYTYCD season two, introduced her to Hok last year, "So, he was actually my brother's friend before he was ever my friend."
This new romance will be put to the test since during the tour the dancers will be traveling on boys only and girls only tour buses.

Laura- just some random information for you about Lacey. Did you know that she used to be the ballroom dancing partner of Jared Murillo? Jared, as you know from your time on the HSM2 set, is the rumored boyfriend of Ashley Tisdale. I just thought I would pass that info along!
Good info, Stacy! I knew she came from the ballroom dancing world. She told me she knows Julianne Hough and her brother from "Dancing with the Stars." I remember when I interviewed Jared in Utah he said he knew Julianne as well from when he was a ballroom dancer. Ballroom is a very small world clearly. And BTW - why is he credited as Josh Murillo in the first HSM? Has anyone noticed that?

Laura- If you look at the credits for HSM you will see Jared and Josh Murillo. Josh was a "skater" dancer, while Jared was a basketball dancer. If you go to Jareds website (jaredmurillo.com) he has pics from the first movie that show his brother. Also, I believe that Julianne Hough used to dance with Jareds brother Josh. (however that information I am not positive about) I do know that Julianne danced at the same studio in Utah as Jared and Josh, which is run by Alex Murillo. (Jared's dad I believe)
Something I forgot to mention, if you check Jareds website he kept a blog through the HSM concert tour. There are some cute little things about hanging out with Ashley which first led fans to believe they were dating. This was as far back as Dec. 2006. :) There are also some cute pics from the tour.
Jared and Josh Murillo, Zackary told us that everybody all around here will be watching our debut on High School Musical. Sebastian told us that we will be a Basketball Player and a Skater Dude Dancer.

3. Julianne Hough –, Professional dancer with ABCs, “Dancing with the stars” for two seasons. She has won each of the two seasons. Holds multiple titles in Dance. World Latin Ballroom Champion
4. Derek Hough – Professional dancer with ABCs, “Dancing with the stars” for one season. World Latin Ballroom Champion.
5. Joshua Murillo – Appeared in HSM as a principle dancer and now serving a LDS mission to Chile.
6. Jason Celaya – Was a contestant and a finalist in Foxs’, “Grease, You’re the one that I want”.
7. Andrea Hale – Professional dancer with “DWTS” for season two. A National 10-dance ballroom Champion. Current instructor at the studio.
8. Jaymz Tuaileva – Made top 20, in Foxs, “So you think you can dance” two seasons ago.
9. Zack Wilson – Presently a finalist in ABCs, “Dance Wars”.
10. Afton Del Grosso, Appeared in HSM, presently performing in Las Vegas, “Cirque de soliel”. A three time National ballroom champion.
11. Roger Malaga – Appeared in HSM 1 & 2 as a principle dancer.
12. Sarah Aezer – Appeared in HSM 1 & 2-had singing role in first show.
13. Stacy Bills – Appeared in “Star Search” and a former “Miss Utah” and current instructor at the studio.
14. Hefa Tuita – Just signed a contract with Nickelodeon to star in a TV series. Appeared in HSM2 as a dancer.
