Access Debates 'Sex and the City'
Finally yesterday a story came across our desk here at Access Hollywood that had everyone buzzing and finally for once it didn't involve scandal! It was the news that "Sex and the City" feature film had started production in New York City. Paparazzi swarmed the set the past two days and so lots of footage has found its way onto the internet and even our own show. My one complaint is that if this keeps up, by the time the movie comes out we will already have seen it all!
The chain of e-mails that have gone around about the SATC movie yesterday were so much fun reading and responding to I thought some of you might enjoy them. Names have been changed to protect my co-workers because lords knows we should have better things to do at work, except me of course this is part of my job. I was busy on the set of "Big Shots" so I only chime in at the end.
SPOILERS ALERT!
Jane: Ohmigod huge dying to see carrie and big together again!!!
Jill: I know a little bit about the plot -- Big and Carrie are moving in together! And they are apartment hunting in NYC. I was also told that they are shooting some of the scenes around the corner from us here at the auction house- you'll remember that Charlotte used to work for an auction house.
Jane: This is great info!!!!
John: If we do any more plot stuff can we please (for the sake of all fans) put SPOILERS in header. And I still liked Aidan better than Big sorry. I can't be alone here surely. Thanks for your consideration.
Greg: Aiden was MUCH better!
Jane: Aiden was the best. Carrie shud have stayed w/him
Jill: Aidan was dull. She didn't love him enuf. Big is the man!
Jane: I can debate this all day. Big is the love of her life but he treated her like s--t.
Greg: Aiden was the hottest of McHotties -- sensitive, handsome, committed -- I don't get it .... Why did she EVER leave him?!
John: Because she like alot of women and MEN love the bad boys
Jill: He was b-o-r-i-n-g
Jane: He got snatched up right afterwards
Greg: Exaaaaaaactly
Jane: One of the best scenes ever...Aidan turns around and is carrying a baby.
Jill: My favorite scene-- the 'Way We Were' episode - when she tells him 'you never got me, Hubble, maybe you never will...' as Bridget Moynahan looks out the window, knowing she's in trouble- her Diana- Camilla- Charles- three in a marriage moment! Boys, your favorite moments? Laura?
Jane: Ohmigod ur making me cry. My favorite line is when Charlotte says I'm exhausted from dating where is he??!!!!
Greg: Fave episode of all time would have to be "The Real Thing (aka: Fashion Road Kill)" w/ Margaret Cho -- "Sometimes you have to pick yourself up off the floor, and accessorize with what you got!" Romantic = I dunno, but I loved the moment at Miranda's baby's first birthday, when she broke down crying, and told Steve that she loved him. SO miranda! But SO great!
John: god I miss her
Dish of Salt: Let's be serious here people. The truth is that Carrie wants Big because she can't ever really have him. She thinks she loves him. Aidan was the nice guy and the type she should have been with. The best thing the movie could do is have the Big/Carrie relationship fall apart when she realizes this. Then bam she should meet someone else, sparks fly, no drama and realize this was the man she has been waiting for all her life. They play Rascall Flatts "Broken Road" at their wedding, Miranda and Samantha makeout in the coat closet, Charlotte's water breaks on the dance floor and they all live happily ever after. The End.
Jane: This is classic dish of salt. U need to blog this please.
John: Oh Salty. Oh Laura whatever ur name is..u made me tear!
Dish of Salt: Sometimes you have to go through a lot of Mr Bigs (in my case Jeff, Tom and Jon) before you find your Nate.
Jill: Ahhhh!
John: What if you've just slept with a lot of Mr. BIGS? does that count?
Dish of Salt: In your case. Yes.

Does anyone know where they will be shooting scenes for the Sex & the City movie?
Dish of salt: your comment saying "she only wanted him because she could never really have him" has just brought so much clarity to my fuzzy brain. I've been with my 'Mr Big' for a while. I know I need to let go.
