Miley Cyrus Fights Back!
Miley Cyrus fans everywhere have even more reason to look up to the "Hannah Montana" star. Last night, she braved the red carpet at the US Weekly Hot Hollywood party. It can't be an easy decision to go to an event like that knowing everyone would want to ask her about the doctored J-14 pregnancy story. She did and she did it with her head held high and her mom, Leticia, by her side. Initially my boss thought it might not be appropriate to ask a 14-year-old about a pregnancy rumor but I knew from all the emails and comments I got that her fans wanted to hear Miley's reaction.
Miley says the whole incident effected her deeply and really hurt her feelings, "I don't really think that's cool of them to put out rumors like that because that is not what I believe in and that's not what I am going to tell other little girls that look up to me to do."
I've heard her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, speak about Miley being a role model and how he keeps her grounded all the time but I wanted to know what her mother thought about all this. So, I brought her over into the interview and was the only one to get the two of them together. Leticia says Miley actually brought the story to her, "She screamed and she was crying and you know very upset which made me even more infuriated. She has a purity ring and you know we're really strong in the beliefs of being pure until marriage and then have that rumor started was, it was really hard for our family.
Miley knows her young fans are looking to her for guidance and has a message to her fans, "What I want them to really get from this is that one, you can't believe everything you hear and two, I always get the question 'How are you going to stay positive because so many girls in Hollywood are going so crazy?' and my answer now to that is I see why. They are being thrown at so many negative things that it is really hard to be positive when you have so many negative things being thrown at your way."
By the way, my favorite comment about the ridiculous story shows Miley is just a typical teenage girl, "That was low. That was lame. Get a life!"
Another Disney star at the event was Cheetah Girl and "Dancing with the Stars" newest little dynamo, Sabrina Bryan. She reacted to some of the negative press she has been receiving about the unfairness of her already having dance experience. Some bloggers and fan forums have taken to calling her a CHEAT-ah girl, "I know. I know. I think that everyone is going to have their own opinions. They did it with Mario. They did it with Joey Fatone they have done it with anybody that comes from any kind of performing background. I was ready for it when I entered it. I knew it was going to come and that's ok."
Sabrina also revealed that Posh, Victoria Beckham, will be coming down soon to see her pal Mel B dance and possibly bringing her soccer hottie husband, David, " Wow if I wasn't nervous before I would definitely be nervous then."
Next week could be pretty tough for her when she has to tackle the dreaded Quick Step!
Thanks for posting the story about Miley as I have been wondering what her reaction was to this whole story. I agree with Miley that it was low and stupid for someone to make up a story like that.
I know this is off topic but did you see Vanessa there at all? I saw one picture of her at the event on US Weekly's website and I heard that she went in the back door and talked with Miley for a little while inside. I also heard she only stayed at the event for a very short amount of time. Thanks for posting I cant wait to read your next blog!
omg, thank you so much for doing this story. i read that, and i was on the fenceand i didn't know. but now that i have read this i am sure and i have to say whoever made that up had a sick idea of a joke!

I did not see Vanessa. We were told when we got there that she would not walk the red carpet. I only went inside for a minute and didn't see her there either. Obviously she was there as photos are out of her in a sequined multi colored mini. She needs to stop hiding and just address it and move on. The more she hides the more it will haunt her. I feel bad for her. She must be so confused on what to do.
i feel really bad for vanessa i agree she should just move on. and besides she has gotten tuns of people who love her family,friends,her boyfriend zac, and fans who understand! and when she dose come at and people start asking her q's about the situation she got over with she should just ignore or say no commont and move on.
Laura I agree with you about Vanessa needing to stop hiding and try to move on. Hopefully since she seems to start making public appearences she will also stop hiding too. Thanks again for your great posts.

I watch Hannah Montana and listen to her music so I think whoever put up such a nasty rumor you are dumb. If she was pregant could she go to Paris or perform on stage.

She is so talented.I don't like the people who don't like miley cyrus.She is so pretty.I think everyone should like her.But everyone dosen't like her.And every time Hannah Montana come's on disney cannel I watch all the time.I just like miley cyrus alot.That's it.And I like her song let's dance and g.n.o girl's nihgt out and clear and the last one nobody's perfect.

I really think it is roung for someone to make up an story about miley cyrus be pregnet and she was not in the roung for crying about someone asking her about that it is ok that she cryed and i am shure she would never get pregnet at a such yaung age. she is a great person and roll model.
