Thoughts On The Miley Cyrus False Rumours
Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and saw an email on my Blackberry that said, "Miley Cyrus Pregnant?" I skipped the other 45 emails and my eyes zoned right in on that one. At first I was shocked when I read it because it had what someone was claiming were actual quotes from Miley herself confirming, to J-14 magazine, the pregnancy. For about a split second I was actually fooled but then thought there was no way this could be true. In her quote (which as we know is now a fake) she claimed she had gained seven pounds. Access Hollywood just saw her at the Teen Vogue party this week and she looked super skinny, no signs of any extra weight.
Within minutes I was informed by someone at J-14 that it's not true. Apparently, the whole thing was a hoax. Someone had doctored an article from J-14's July issue. I informed everyone at the office and several mothers breathed a sigh of relief. One of my co-workers replied, "Thank goodness! Moms everywhere, of pre-teen girls, can now rest easy!" Another co-worker wrote, "Was about to give up all hope of wholesome tween role models --- horrible rumor."
Miley would be the last person anyone around here would expect something like this to happen to. We have spoken to her many times (most recently in late June) about being a role model. She understands how important staying on the straight and narrow is. These quotes I promise are the real deal. Miley told us, "You really got to watch what you do because not only am I representing myself and my show and the Disney Channel and all these things, I'm representing my family and so I always want to make sure that there's, that I'm putting off the good light for my family and my friends."
Miley told us her dad Billy Ray Cyrus actually will show her articles about the girls who are getting in trouble as a warning to her, "I just want to strive to be different and let people see there's a difference about me. But we don't you know judge or think that there's something wrong. I think you know what I have is I got really lucky with a good family and some people you know it's just, it's more of a struggle. But I'm definitely hoping for the best."
Obviously the Vanessa Hudgens photo scandal has everyone on edge. So, this story (actually, non-story) has struck a nerve. Though Vanessa has gone on to admit the photos of her were real, in this digital age of Photoshop it's scary how your image can be manipulated. We've all seen those grocery store tabloid magazines claiming this celebrity and that celebrity are pregnant quoting sources close to the star. Most of those turn out to be bogus or more likely wishful thinking. Now people are taking tabloid journalism to a new level by dummying up fake quotes and creating stories. When it comes to rumors, the internet is like high school. One person tells a friend, then they tell a friend, then they tell two friends, then they tell five friends and the story gets passed around the halls until its reached the entire schools population.
We need to stop this insanity. My friends and I were discussing this over the weekend. We decided that if one of us had moved to this town in search of dreams of becoming famous right now, we'd be running for the hills. Who wants this type of invasion of privacy? It's getting to be too much. There are so many more important things going on in the world.
The second I hear this rumor, I was shocked but not fooled. Actually I was thinking about her "pregnant" but I knew it wouldnt e her, especially without a boyfriend. Its weird how this article is about Miley but only 2 paragraphs were about her, and the rest about Vanessa Hudgens and other general things.

I agree with you that the insanity needs to stop. Internet gossip sites post lies. RSS feeds pick up the lies and the lies spread around the world with no accountability. There needs to be some serious legal action against these sites that post lies for defamation and slander. The celebrity gossip magazines aren't much better. They use old photos to support their new lies - all to get magazine sales. Profiting on lies should not be allowed.
When I first heard this rumor I laughed out loud because I knew it was going to be false. But I also knew how many people would believe it simply because it was posted on the internet. I am glad this rumor got cleared up quickly, but I hate that people are so bored with their lives that they try and start rumors about celebs that are just out there trying to be a good role model to children. When I have children I can only hope that their are young stars around like Miley, Ashley Tisdale, and yes even Vanessa Hudgens that my children can look up to. With Vanessa's situation I think people can learn from her. Think everything through before you do something whether or not you are famous. She made a mistake, owned up to it, and is trying to move on.
i love here and i hate people who make stuff up about people i know they wouldnt like stuff made up about them . i hate when people spread false stuff about other people or celebs all i have to say is get a live .

This is so wrong! Miley is not pregnant! I have a friend Chachi who told me her mom was pregnant though and the press overheard! The Cyrus Family was recently discussing the new news about Tish and Billy Ray having a baby!!!
I was shocked when i heard it and becuase of all the facts that people were saying and yes i did believe that miley cyrus; my idal was "pregnat". And i was ashamed at her and me and my friends both had a problem listening to her music. I am releaved to now know that she isnt "pregnat" and hope that it stays this way until shes really ready and im ready to let go of her being a kid lol (she really doesnt need to wait for me but it would be nice lol)
