I Hate Britney

Last night, I had the pleasure of interviewing Meryl Streep for the first time. She wore very little makeup (what does SHE have to prove?), gave intelligent answers, and humored me when I asked if she could remember a cheer from her cheerleading days. I do realize that I basically asked Meryl Streep if she would "give me a G!," and for that, I am a little ashamed.
But, that's my job.
Unfortunately, my job is also to write pieces (for the last two weeks, every single day) on Britney Freakin Spears. And here are the things about her, and what I do here at Access Hollywood, that really irk me:
1. I perpetuate the chaos. I take full responsibility (okay, part, and I'll give part to my show). Because of the landscape of entertainment news, we have to buy paparazzi footage -- the same footage that I loath watching, but our viewers apparently love -- and continue to feed the beast. Its a sad animal to be a part of.
2. She "forgot" her underwear again. The day before she asked for an emergency hearing to get overnight visits with her children. Pantiless. At Target.
3. She loooooooves the paparazzi attention. Its sad. Don't think for a minute that she's "so over it," as she was caught saying on tape yesterday...cause she is so not.
I was on board the Britney Train (though I didn't admit it then) back around 2000 and 2001. I hopped off when she married Jason Alexander, but remained a little fascinated by her choices and life direction. But now, especially after hearing that she (allegedly) was a drug user...I'm done.
Gimme an M-E-R-Y-L any day.
Omigosh, please leave Britney Spears alone. Billy Bush stands on tv talking about the madness and how bad it is while showing the insanity on TV, which means your cameras are there - completely supporting and encouraging the antagonization. Please just let her live her life and try to get better, for heaven's sake!

why is no one telling any thing bad about k-fed? why does everyone think he is a better parent? and who does K-fed get his money from?mmmm oh yeah that would be Brittney. with out Brittney
k-fed would have no income,to be taking her kids away from her.. any one think about this? no one is reporting any fact like this about k-fed. something is very wrong with the people in L.A. who can't see k-fed for what he really is, a gold digger... hello!!!!.
Here is the funny thing about your show....if a show like Access Hollywood, one that supposedly takes pride in separating itself from its competition like The Insider or Extra, didn't BUY the pap's footage, maybe the beast wouldn't be so out of control. By buying the footage, you are part of the problem and you encourage the chaos because you are FUNDING it...and you admit it, saying there is no other choice. But there is a choice.
What I find most interesting, however, is that these blogs, ones written by several producers and even by Billy Bush, seem to apologize for what their jobs entail, for the madness it creates and the chaos that ensues, while saying "i hate it, i hate how awful it is, the direction celebrity news is going, etc BUT it's my job!" Well, if you have to apologize, maybe you should look to utilize your sizable talents (because I'm sure your job is not easy) bringing attention to people who don't go to Target without their panties (and then don't bother to visit the lingerie department while there). It's no secret that network television producers and hosts make a lot of money - more money than most 25-40 year olds - and perhaps that is why you say "well, it's my job!"...but by switching jobs and bringing attention to the real heroes of the world, you won't have to apologize or vent via a blog - and THAT is much more valuable than money.
Amen to that!!

If people call her a whore it's because she's acting like one. Maybe if she started acting like a mature adult with some CLASS then she could get some respect. She is always acting like her life is sh*t, she is so selfish, there are people starving in this world and all she does is complain and WHINE. If she doesn't like the fame then please just get out. Look at Marilyn, she was famous but she didn't go around whining and complaining acting like a spoiled brat. GROW UP Britany, you're a disgrace.
