Ashley Tisdale On HSM3 and Getting Animated
They may not have signed on the dotted line just yet, but Ashley Tisdale assures me that both her and Vanessa Hudgens' deals are done to reprise their roles in, "High School Musical 3."
There were, of course, all those rumors that Vanessa was out as East High's resident good girl ,Gabriella Montez, after news spread of her photo scandal earlier this fall. Does anyone still remember that (or even care)?
Ashley assured me Vanessa will be back, "Yes, she definitely is. The original cast. I don't think it would have been good without it."
Ashley reveals that rehearsals for the film will begin in February, "I think we have eight weeks rehearsal and then we go into filming. It's gonna be a long ride this time. We are excited. We are going to get our butts kicked!"
Though she hasn't read the script, fortunately it was done before the writer's strike began. Ashley can, however, speculate on what might happen to the Wildcats, "I think it's about senior year. It's kind of like the next chapter. I think it probably will have prom in it, I'm guessing. I'm just guessing… maybe prom, graduation… I don't know. Lots of singing -- I'm sure about that one."
There have been all sorts of reports that the cast was holding out for more money, which is what slowed down the process. All Ashley will say about her "HSM3" paycheck was, "I'm definitely satisfied."
Also, in February, you can catch an animated Ashley in a new role on The Disney Channel. She's providing the voice for Candace Flynn, the teenaged sister of "Phineas and Ferb," two young brothers who spend everyday of their summer vacation doing something adventurous (like building a beach or a roller coaster in the backyard or recording a one hit wonder record).
Candace spends her whole summer trying to get them in trouble.
"She's always trying to get her mom to see what the brothers are doing and every time she is like, 'Mom, mom come here you gotta see this,' it's always covered up, demolished or totally gone and she never gets them," Ashley told me.
The kids already know about this one because a sneak peek of the show aired immediately following "High School Musical 2" in August. Parents will most likely get a kick out of it too when it premieres with a month-long event they have dubbed "FERB-ruary," because it comes from writers from both "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy."

Thank god Vanesssa is in. If Adriene Bailon played the part I would not have been caught dead seeing it. Vanessa and Ashley are so HOT

There are many things that bother me about this girl. The most recent being her claim that she hates attention and tabloids and then decides to go do an interview with OK magazine. Well I may see this movie, it's a nice way to end the series but I may have to rethink that if they decide to once again make it all about sharpay and her "evilness" and only Troy's story.
Anonymous- There is a difference between not wanting and hating the attention from the paps and doing an interview with a magazine. At the end of the end of the day she still is a celeb and needs to get out there to promote herself and her movies/music. The way you do that is through interviews.
She does not act like she hates the attention from paps but I really don't care about that either way. I just don't think you can say you hate tabloids and then do an interview with a magazine that is a complete tabloid. There are plenty of ways to promote herself and her music which she has done. There are people who make it seem like she is one of the only celebs who is just so down to earth and wonderful without even knowing a thing about her.
I cannot wait for the third to come out Troy or a.k.a. zacis so HOT especially in the second movie.I wonder how he would look oh and by the way vanessa and ashley are pretty not HOT that is zac efron not them you bone head!
