Breaking Down The Celebrity Hunt

Comments (7)

Every morning I wake up and read the synopsis of last night's celebrity happenings. I get the written reports and details on what video is available. It’s amazing how little sleep some of these people need.

Our policy is to buy only the non-invasive footage from the agencies that employ these paparazzi. Honest question is: if we didn't buy any and if every other show and magazine all of a sudden banded together and refused to buy any, wouldn't they all go away? Wouldn't the celebrities be safer and happier being left alone?

I really am lost here. For sure, some celebs would be happier and quite grateful. Not all.

I am convinced Britney Spears loves the attention. When they finally do go away, out of boredom or her finally being passé, she will go into an attention deficit withdrawal...my belief.

How did Ben Affleck go from one of the most hunted to largely left alone?

HE went away. He "played dead" so the hounds looked him over, shrugged, and went away.

Britney loves the attention and I think it keeps her sealed off from the reality of her plight. She's a mom only allowed to spend one night a week with her kids.

How Horrifying. Who goes out partying most every night after being presented with that reality?

That's enough to send most women into a spiral of pain...an event that would prompt a woman with her instincts in tact, to go into survival mode and do everything and anything to get them back.

If her album is successful, she might take it as proof that everything is going well.

As the media (almost across the board) keeps the current climate in tact by buying the video of paps surrounding her car, the message that comes from fans who buy the album is that she's doing great - don't change a thing.

So, the responsible media and fans cannot shoulder the blame here. Britney has to wise up, with the intervention of a true friend or relative, and get right. She should talk to Ben. The two enablers around her, Sam and Alli, might do well to understand that "if" they are remembered, it will likely be as the two who had the best chance to help her and did not.

Hello Billy-

I watch you all the time & think that you are one of the better interviewers on T.V today. I never write to TV shows, but your Heather Mills interview begs a response.

The woman is the most irritating human being there is out there - Incredibly ridiculous and annoying! Who does she think she's fooling??!! She is nothing but an extortionist and oh so subversive!

An appearance a while back on the Larry King show exposed her to be a most conniving, manipulative and attention seeking woman-

My impression of this woman comes strictly from her public appearances & interviews- She is unbelievable & not at all credible and her stories oh so inconsistent. We'd all pretty much forgotten about her until she popped up again everywhere this week -

She's totally deluded exhibiting a false sense of importance and seems to wield her daughter as a serious bargaining chip - (she really won the lottery when she had that little girl for McCartney after insisting she was incapable of conceiving by the way...on the Larry King show!)

It’s easy to finalize a divorce if one wants to; it’s a bit more drawn-out when one party usually the one who brought in much, (much!) less monetarily, wants to take much, (much!) more out of it-

And she's got to decide...is it suicide or is she being marked for murder?!

I'd like to say I feel sorry for Heather Mills, but I absolutely don't. She feels more than sorry enough for herself.

I don't believe her "performance" on TV was a meltdown, or that her bizarre ramblings were the desperate words of a woman hounded and harassed to breaking point.

What we witnessed was nothing more than a temper tantrum from a manipulative woman who's not getting what she wants.

Heather Mills is probably one of the best examples of a narcissist there is out there. She's totally self-obsessed/absorbed and has no idea how anybody else perceives her, because she is incapable of empathizing with others (even though she conveniently seems to endlessly name drop to make her point).

More than anything, she believes she deserves to and must be heard whether we like it or not-

"I've done nothing but charity for 20 years," she protests.

She still doesn't understand that the public prefers charity work to be done discreetly, and that the figurehead should never be the main beneficiary.

I do not for a minute believe that her daughter is in any danger. I am not convinced there is a credible threat to Heather Mills either. After all, it is patently clear what this woman is all about and she is not doing herself any favors (the martyr act is so unconvincing).

In my opinion, the fact that Heather Mills feels justified in sharing with the outside world her ex's "secrets" says a lot more about her character than the tapes or whatever else is in her "box" will ever reveal about Paul McCartney's. I think she has irreparably damaged her own reputation with this move.

Her latest media assault is not to highlight press inaccuracies as much as it is a vicious public attack on her soon to be ex and his family.

Like someone else rightly pointed out, all these interviews, threats, blackmail, tearless cries (she really should get her tear glands checked) says all we need to know about Mills.

She’s an abrasive, shrill gold digger who complains about privacy, yet has no qualms about exposing her husband's (and lets not forget, the father of her child….she never lets us forget this) private inner most thoughts which she was only privy to as his wife. Talk about invasion of privacy, a lack of integrity and the lowest form of gutter mentality. No matter what big secret she holds over him, she will always be vile for even suggesting that she might release them.

If I were him, I'd let the chips fall were they may - Most times innuendo is much more damaging than the actual revelation of the "big secret"-

If she were smart, she would take whatever divorce settlement McCartney is offering, live a quiet life with her daughter and do some anonymous charity work. In five or ten years, the public might yet give her another chance.

Who knows, with some major rehabilitation we just might even grow to like her – after all that’s what she so desperately craves (along with the loot from McCartney of course!)

I agree 100% about the attention these stars get and have received since they were tiny. I'm sure if they imagine how their life would be without all the glam and the cameras they would think it would be tragic. They need to realize it would help. many of these stars that got out of the spotlight are living wonderful and fullfilling family lives. Their children are growing up to be wonderful people as well. They need to stop feeding off the cameras and grow up already.

You were in the glow of Lauren Hutton's high beams. You lucky SOB!!!

Billy,
Love the show and love you. We watch you every night. You make us laugh *a lot* But...we are getting pretty bored with "Britney Watch". I guess I could write a small book on how I feel about her daily encounters with poparazze and her Starbuck's runs... as could most everyone. Bottom line is.....
ENOUGH. She doesn't really deserve the press she gets, give us more of the good stuff you do. Kiss Kiss, Love You!

Hi Billy,
I watch the show everyday. i love it is a very nice show. I would like to say that what britney needs to do in order for papz to stop taking so much picture of her is stop going out so much. I mean im pretty sure that since she is so famous she most have some one that she can send to get stuff for her and do things for her. i mean she can go out because alot of stars do. but she doesn't need to go out all the time. i look on x17online.com and i see like everyday all this diff videos of britney and im just looking at it and saying to myself why would you say that you don't like the papz taking all this picture of you and runnig around and following you, but you go out everyday just for that. I look at jlo and marc anthony their life is a privacy when do you see them on the street barely ever.Britney I still love you but you need to learn how to stay home! Your my favorite person but you need to learn to keep your kids as privacy. Your the best Billy! keep up the great job that your doing.Go Access Hollywood!!!!

You know Billy, I just watched Britney's "everytime" video...and if you look watch it, and think about how her life is now..her video is almos prophetic and so sad in retrospect. Her mother's fear of her daughter's suicide is real and I really hope she gets better. I'm not particularlly a fan of her music, but it is obvious she is suffering and going through things most of us can't even imagine. I just hope she gets back to her roots and her family that loves her. I'm tired of seeing celebrities die such talent going to waste. I don't want another death like Anna Nicole Smith.
I wish there was something that we could do.
