Celine Dion To Perform on 'Dancing With The Stars'

If you are a Celine Dion fan then I've got good news for you -- I've just learned that the songstress will be performing on the November 27th finale of "Dancing With the Stars." I can also reveal that one of the songs she will perform is her Oscar winning tune from "Titanic," "My Heart Will Go On."
The news was revealed inadvertently when "DWTS" dancer, Edtya Sliwinska (who was knocked out of the competition this week with partner, Cameron Mathison) let it slip that she had just come straight from a dance rehearsal for the performance. I immediately called her on it and she confirmed that Celine is booked.
"Yes. She is. It's very exciting we are going to be dancing to one of her songs. It's a beautiful song from 'Titanic.' It's really really a treat for us and we are honored to have an opportunity to do that."
The performance will cap off a busy week on ABC for Celine. This Sunday night she will perform on the "American Music Awards." Then on Wednesday, Nov. 21 (1:00 - 2:00 PM, EST), Celine will appear on "All My Children" as a featured guest on Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) fictional talk show, “New Beginnings,” marking her first daytime drama appearance. She'll sing the title track from her new CD, “Taking Chances.”
Two days later she will be a guest on "The View" and perform "Taking Chances" and "Alone." She also recently appeared on "Access Hollywood" and "Oprah." All this is to promote her new CD "Taking Chances" which hit stores this week. Her year-long, 85-city, 5 continent World Tour kicks off February 14, 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Edtya joined her friend and fellow "DWTS" dancer, Cheryl Burke at a Grand Re-Opening celebration for "DWTS" alum, Lisa Rinna's clothing boutique, "Belle Gray."
Cheryl had just learned the news that her partner from this season, Wayne Newton, was diagnosed with a recurring heart condition, cardiomyopathy, which is a viral infection of the heart.
He will be unable to perform on the Finale. Cheryl had not yet spoken to the legendary crooner but was obviously concerned, "I am so worried. He is just an amazing guy and I just want him to be healthy. He was supposed to also do our tour. So I'm hoping he can still be able to do that."
Yet again, another shocking incident on a season full of tragedy. Edtya's husband and fellow "DWTS" dancer, Alex Mazo called this season "jinxed."
According to Edtya, the negativity has had an effect backstage, "We definitely don't want to even think about it and allow that thought but I heard Jennie Garth saying, 'You know what? On the day of the show I don't pick up the phone because I'm scared.'"
Garth's father is suffering from a heart condition.
Cheryl says all the professional dancers are looking forward to this season coming to a close, "Its kind of scary. So, hopefully the show will end in two weeks and we can put this behind us and next season will hopefully start soon and it will all be positive positive energy."
UPDATE: Celine Pre-taped her appearance last night (November 19th) prior to the DWTS performance show.
Oh please a curse...NOT!! Life happens, people get sick and people pass on. Stop with the obsurd curse talk. Sounds like someone is trying to ad negativity to something that we all enjoy. We just have to realize these things happen on a daily bases.
CELION DION HAVE A NEW CD ON THE TV SHOW IS ACCESS HOLLYWOOD FOR THIS WEEK IN NOVEMBER 2007.
Edyta said there was so much negativity on the show this year. I must say I agree with her. The Osmonds planted the seed with me because they wanted all the attention. Please keep them off the shows. As far as I am concerned Donny has ruined ET and Insider and the DWTS
