My children adored Zoey 101 but as of today no more. It is hard enough teaching values to my children today without celebrities like Jamie Spears showing premarital sex is ok. Whatever her reasoning was, it is not right. Dating a 19 year old, having sex at 16 and getting pregnant are not the values I want instilled on my children. What’s next for show Nickelodian? My Daughter The Drugged-Out Ho.

The fact that Jamie sold the story to OK magazine just makes me sick. She is profiting from her lack of values. Is this the direction that Niclelodian plans to go in the future? If so, you can count my children out!

I am just in shock..that poor girl. I read somewhere that she said it was a total shock. Well if you are having sex unprotected...duh. That family needs to be put on an island and left.

I think this is crap that the world make such a big deal about this gurl being pregnant everyday there are about 1000 16yr old gurls pregnant and no one cares why does the world only care about the people that have MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't say anything bad against this as my daughter got pregnant at 16, and it can happen to anyone! She kept her child and with my love and support she finished highscool and graduated college. There were a lot of sacrifices on both our parts and all in the name of education and love. As a parent you teach them the way of life and hope they listen, when they don't you have to be there to love and support them. I'm very grateful for my grandson who is now almost 7. My daughter is now married with a second child age 1. I'm very proud of her! Good luck to Jamie, keep your head high and I hope you have the support system my daughter had

am not surprised that Jamie Lynn is Pregnant. Her parents are unfit and clearly have not counseled their daughter about birth control. This is evidenced by their dysfunctional family behavior, Jamie Lynn’s immaturity and irresponsibility and Brittany’s out of control behavior and mental health issues.

The real question is why Jaime Lynn’s (age 16)boyfriend (age 19) has not been arrested and charged with Statutory rape. Statutory rape is a strict liability crime. That means Consent is not a defense. Where is the Dirstrict Attorney in this case? Where is the Police who should arrest the boyfriend?

If Jamie Lynn was not famous the boyfriend would have been arrested.

Nickelodian can inspire pregnant teenage girls like her to stay in school with a new show called: "Prego the Ho Gets a Diploma" or keep the current show and change the title to: "G.E.D. for Zoey 69"

I don't think she is following in her sister's footsteps. BS can only be described as a 'bad mom'. JL is a kid that made a stupid mistake (that she will have to live with for the rest of her life). With the right support system, she will get through this. She has the potential of being a good mom (with the right people helping her out). What the heck is going on with this family? Have they heard of beign married and older/more mature to raise children. Shame on you Lynn. Who the heck would buy a book written by their mother about how to properly raise kids. They need to spend a little more time at church and togehter then out partying and getting pregneant. I was 16 when i had my son and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! People need to realize just because she is young doesnt mean she cant be a great mom! I am judged all the time and its annoying. My son is my world and i wouldnt change it for the world! Yes its hard but its worth it! I think every one should just realize you can be a young mom and still be a great one! My 11 year old daughter is just shocked, thank God she is a huge fan of Hannah Montana and not of Zoey. I can't believe in this day and age and with her connections and money that this is what she chose for her life, it is truly sad. Im getting pretty tire of all this mom that the kids look up to the tv star saying that the parents don't give enough values and all that stuff. i was 15yr old when i had my daughter. It was not my moms fault that I got pregnant, my mom is the most respected women her and my father tought me right from wrong and always told me not to do the stuff that i did until after marriage. but i was a teenager so i didn't heard what they where telling me but like any other teenager out there, even if my mom and my dad told me what they did i still did what i did. thats no there fault. Why is everyone bashing this poor girl? Who did she have to set an example? A very young in comparison to Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes got pregnant out of wedlock and they are admired. Brad Pitt cheats on his wife and gets Angelina Jolie pregnant and we waited anxiously to see pictures when their kid was born, also out of wedlock. Jessica Alba just announced this week she is pregnant, not married and who is the father? Hallie Berry also pregnant and not married. I know these women are adults, but that's just my point. They glamourize pregnancy out of wedlock so why are we so surprised a 16 year old actress gets pregnant.

Jaime Lynn probably wanted to get pregnant just like a lot of teenage girls do... Was she on birth control and did he use a condom?.. I would guess not.

Come on now. Let's be real. We all have some disfunction in our families. Are her parents to blame? We have no idea what goes on with them. All we know is what the media portrays them to be. The best of parents have teenagers that end up pregnant. It's a fact all. Teens have sex and young adults have sex. It's not a secret. Although we want to protect our kids and raise them to make wise decisions they will make mistakes. They will go behind ourt backs and do things that we have never imagined thme doing. Straight A christian highschool students get pregnant. It seems that people want this poor girl to be punished. Come on, remember when you were in highschool or was it to long ago. Think about it. You tell them or ahve them hound you down all the time. What stress that would be for he rnad her baby. It seems that she was with the guy before he was 18. So what are they supposed to break up b/c he turned 18. There are many teens that change their lives b/c of their baby and make it better. Just b/c one is married and older does not make them a better parent. She needs love and support. Just think it might happen to your child no matter how good of a parent you are. How can Billy say mature at the thought of her giving her baby up. That's sad. It's wonderful that she is taking responsibility for her actions and not that easy way out. Let's not forget here that there is a war going on. People are losing their lives for you and we can see on the tv is how this poor girl is getting punished. It reminds me of the 50's. Why don't you teach your kids about safe sex and hope this doesn't happen to them and if it does love and support them. I don't forget about the parents who are losing their children everyday b/c of a war and not a pregnancy.

Someone needs to remind Lynne Spears that you can leave your small town and move to LA, have your kids land recording contracts and TV shows and make themselves the object of stalkerazzi and mentioned on the news every day, but changing your lifestyle doesn't stop you from being Cheap White Trash. I think it is really sad and pathetic that this girl is pregnant at 16, when one daughter goes off the deep end you think maybe the girl has some mental problems, when both daughters do it, I look straight at who raised these girls and what kind of childhood these two had,obviously there is no supervision as long as the girls bring momma the cash who knows what happened in that household, at least Dad seems to be the sensible one in this family,by listening to his public statements apparantly he is the only one with a brain. Ok so I get that it is a total schock that little spears is pregnant. But in all reality...if she wasnt famous, it would just be another 16 year old pregnant. There are more teen pregnancies everyday and the girls are even YOUNGER, and its not an issue, but because of her status in the entertainment world, and all the problems going on with Britney, suddenly its the biggest thing to hit entertainment news. Give me a break. I think if we are going to throw a fit because she is pregnant, then we need to throw a fit when anyone..even if they arent famous, that is 16 gets pregnant. These young girls are to young to be moms, but they are to young to be role models too. How is a 16 year old supposed to be a role model when they need a role model theirself. I can totally understand Jodi's comment about her daughter and a family support system. We are bombarded with actors/actresses who are in and out of rehab, are unfaithful to their spouses, are criminals, and the latest fad getting pregnant at young ages-not married. I am sickend at what hollywood has become. It is a freak show. I hope one day our society wakes up and realizes these celebrities shouldn't be idolized at the level they currently are. The solution is simple - stop giving them these outrageous salaries which makes them believe that they are above morality. No one cares about an actor on broadway who actually has talent...because they aren't walking the red carpet with their million dollar diamonds and designer dresses. Some teachers only make 35,000 a year...while Keanu Reeves (sorry Keanu-)may be one of the worst actors today receives 15 million for ONE movie. Absolutely insane. I would love to see the day when all types of media didn't focus all the attention on the hollywood drama and instead, covered stories about truely inspiring role models - teachers, doctors, mothers, fathers, volunteers, donors, etc. It needs to start somewhere...

The family is trash. SHe is trash. The show ought to be cancelled. She used to be a young model for young girls. I think it's funny her mother is writing a book on parenting. You play you pay. I know alot of parents won't let their kids watch the show. IT sickens me. The world is becoming immoral.

Jamie Lynn Spears is Pregnant at 16. I know its wrong for a girl her age to be engaged in sex but with no real parenting she was set to self-destruct from the word go. The boy friend should be jailed for rape period, their is no reason or excuse for a 19 year old man to be dating or engaging in sex with a 16 year old girl.

So many girls have gotten pregnant in their teens. I recently heard that my friend's sister is 6 months pregnant and she is 16. Why is it such a big deal when Jamie gets pregnant? Because of her status? In reality, many girls have run into teen pregnancy. Come on, lets stop obsessing over Jamie Lynn, when a lot of teen girls have had this before.

I think it is really hypocritical on the part of Americans to pretend that they are so pure and every celebrity should be perfect. This girl had sex. How many times did your kids see you jump from husband to husband, wife to wife, or change mates quicker than your underwear. Yeah, it probably wasn't the best idea to sell the story to OK magazine. But probabaly she anticipated that there would be a fallout and may need money in the future. Americans are so hypocritical. And it is quite unfair to label this 16-year-old girl trashy because she had sex. I'm sure majority of you have done 99.9 percent more than she did at her age. The only difference is that her life is played out daily in the media, or you didn't get caught by your parents. Trust me your kids are doing way more. I'm in university right now and it is alarming to see and hear stories of what girls did in high school. Don't judge when your lives aren't exactly perfect either.

It's not a big deal to get pregnant at 16. I got pregnant at 16 and had 3 other children with the same guy before i got married and i'm still with him. We have been together for 8 years now, so you don't have to get married to raise a child, yes it's the correct way to do it but we're human and no one is perfect. Good luck J.L.

Some people can be really mean. From reading some of these comments you would think that none of you have ever made a mistake in your life. As adults you should know better and have respect for everyone. I am not saying that we should encourage teenagers to have premarital sex but in a time like this young people need support. I know how it feels to be a young mother because i had my first child at 15 yrs old. And with the support from my family i graduated from high and college. And plus i am even working on my second degree. I am ashamed that some people have the nerve to say what they say. I wonder how many of you making those comments have actually abstained from sex until you were married? I am pretty sure not many of you can say that you have because we are all human and we make mistakes. So some people need to learn to be a little more compasionate and grow-up!!

I don't see what the big deal is. I was pregnant at 16 too. I have 5 kids now and i am 23 years old. 3 of the dads pay child support fairly regularly, the other is in jail but i bet he will for his 2 once he gets out.

If Nickelodian made a show about this stuff i'd have my girls watch it. maybe they can make those short cartoon shows like "school House Rock" about pregnancy and play them on Nick?

I think Lynn Spears should have taken more precaution on the consequences that fame would have on her daughters.

Okay....This is really strange. I'm 11 and I used to watch Zoey 101 but now I don't...Jamie Lynn Spears doesn't seem like a bad person or anything. She probably did know what was going on and was incredibly shocked by this news. I never looked up to her but I know that shes going through a really hard time right now. Shes young and stupid. I do not want to end up anything like her, but at the same time she may have reasons for doing what she did. She was under a lot of stress with her sister and everything. There is a married executive at Nickelodeon who is REALLY the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' baby. Casey Aldridge is not the father, and Nickelodeon knows about it - and is hoping to keep it under wraps. The lawsuits and legal issues are enormous.
