Derek & Shannon Doing More Than 'Dancing?'
Cristian de la Fuente is the epitome of class and elegance. This has nothing to do with the Chilean Cabernet he sent me after a discussion on the radio about the strengths of Chilean men (wine not dancing). No, he's just a gentleman...then the package featuring his little princess Laura...the cutest little girl and so obviously the apple of his eye. I like that and as a dad of three girls, I know...I KNOW!
Kristi Yamaguchi...the umbrella dance...wow!!!
The most sensationally sexy, emotional dance I've seen this season. A home run. The umbrella prop was STORYTELLING. I love it.
Shannon and Derek have practically asked us to be interested in them as a couple...tonight on the dance floor they delivered in the only way that matters.
A killer dance...beautiful deep royal blue ensemble on the pair and a sexy, charged performance.
Shannon's deep tango make-up job was a bit harsh...did not even look like her...but the dance was great.
One side note: in the pre-taped package before the dance, Shannon threatened him with going home alone...it was a real moment that put a stamp on their flirtation. He is a Mormon...abstention is the way.
I was so glad to see that spoiled, cry baby, stick-dancer be voted off. She's so cute and has a great body; too bad she doesn't have the personality and the dance ability to go with it. She has a great teacher; he could only do so much. She thought she was a diva and her melt down over her outfit one night. Give me a break. She should have been gone weeks ago. Thanks America!
I loved the UMBRELLA dance too. I don't know why Len gave her an "8". This was one of my favorite dances this season (Along with Kristi and Mark's Rumba). I think the judges decided to give her a hard time this week.
Shannon and Derek are gone, and it's their own fault. They were a cutesy couple so I think a lot of people were rooting for them. However, they were jerks 2 weeks ago.
Anyway... This is Kristi's show as far I'm concerned. I don't even care if she has an advantage because of her figure skating background. Yes, physically/technically she has an advantange, but emotionally the actors should have the upper hand. The 2 most emotional dance of the season were delivered by Kristi: her Rumba and her Waltz (the umbrella song as Billy calls it... I still cant get over the fact that Len gave her an "8" and called her "one dimensional"); her jive was on of the most fun of the season.
