Kristy Lee Cook's Secret Engagement Revealed!
So, it turns out our little country gal has been hiding a secret for the past month. This morning in a conference call with reporters Kristy revealed that she and her boyfriend Andy got engaged on March 15th and in the strangest of places - a sauna.
Andy came over to visit his lady at the top-secret apartment complex where the Idol contestants live. Kristy said since it's tough to get any alone time, without the prying eyes of bodyguards, they headed into the apartment's workout room. Since people were in the gym she and Andy headed into the sauna for some privacy. Fortunately, the sauna was turned off so the only heat coming from it was their own. Kristy said yes to Andy's proposal even though he didn’t get down on one knee.
Last night on Fox Reality Channel's "American Idol Extra" though Andy got his chance and did go on bended knee for his future bride asking,
"Kristy Lee Cook will you marry me."
She of course said, "yes."
The couple met back in Oregon at a placed called Rosos. They had gone ring shopping on a whim one day in Oregon when marriage talk first arose. So, Kristy Lee ended up with her perfect ring,
"It's got a marquis cut and it has quite a few diamonds on it."
No date has been set for the wedding but Kristy says she is thinking of next June and she would love to have country crooner Jason Aldean sing at her wedding. And yes the judges Randy, Simon and Paula will be on the invite list.
Kristy surprised everyone last night when she hopped on the judges’ table last night and sang her swan song, "Forever" straight to Simon.
Moments after the show Simon came on stage and while hugging Kristy goodbye told her,
"Thank you for making me uncomfortable!"
Her response, "You're welcome. Now you know what it's like for me every night!"
Not surprisingly, Kristy's upcoming plans are to make a country album.

That's great and all, but if KLC wants to make it in show biz, she's gonna need to get a personality. Granted, Carrie Underwood was kinda dull, but she had talent. On the other hand, Kellie Pickler wasn't the greatest singer, but she used her personality to give her career a jump start. In short, lighten up, KLC.... otherwise I hope your future hubby enjoys dull conversations...
i think she looks really good, not too skinny not too chubby either. i bet she could get a deal in hollywood
or a recording artist.
