JRock's Radar: Just Over 'The Hills'
As I watched the season finale, I couldn’t help but think about the fact that every season I look for (and never find) people of color in any storylines. The only reoccurring black role is Spencer’s 645 BMW.
Yes I still watch, it’s a guilty pleasure, but who’s to blame?
Are the writers at fault for not writing any into the script? Or is it that, in “reality,” they don’t know any. Maybe that’s the reason for all the drama. If they spent more time on culture instead of couture they might not argue as much. This show has become so scripted, they don’t even bother to match the voiceover tracks with the footage they’re using.
I understand the argument that they move in a close circle, but I can’t co-sign that.
Even Jed Clampett had to stroll though South Los Angeles to get to Beverly.... Hills that is.
Jamal.
I agree I think it is just they there brains our so small if they tried to incorprate culture into there minds, there heads would blow up! Love ya Jamal!
