Good News Ladies: 'The Bachelorette's' Jason Is Ready To Date Again!
Jason Mesnick just may be the most popular single man in America today! Women all over the Internet are buzzing about how they can meet the 31-year-old account executive from Seattle, Washington who had his heart broken by "Bachelorette" DeAnna Pappas last night.
This morning I spoke to Jason, just minutes after my phone call with DeAnna and her new fiancé, Jesse Csincsak, to talk about how he is holding up. The good news is Jason is ready to get back out into the dating world again. Despite his final limo ride confession that he was “putting back on his body armor,” Jason told me he time is starting to heal his wounds,
"As time has gone by, over these last couple of months, I have come to grips with it. I'm a person that believes in fate and destiny and I think things happen for a reason. She didn’t pick me for a reason and watching her and Jesse together really solidified to me that that’s something I need to have and that’s something they have and I am very happy for them. So, I will say that the body armor is down and I am ready to date again."
As of yet he hasn't started looking for the next Mrs. Right though,
"I had stepped away from being a dad for several weeks and I've been smothering and being smothered by my little boy. So, if there is any date it's just been with my little munchkin."
When he does get back out there Jason revealed he has one main quality he looks for in a woman,
"Just that spark for life. You can see it in somebody’s eyes, just that sparkle. What that means to me is that they can enjoy everything that they are doing whatever it is."
The problem seems to be that Jason keeps picking the wrong woman -- the woman who wants to be a free spirit. I picked up on this when I asked Jason about how his ex-wife would feel if she were watching the show. Would she realize she gave up a great man? He told me,
“How does she feel? I think I'm sure she had some struggles with it. The one thing that I know about her is, it might be similar to Deanna, that they both, what they both seem to want in life is something that is a little bit more different than what I am - Something a little bit more exciting, like a snowboarder or in her case something even a little bit different."
When I told Jason he had fallen into a pattern and needed to break out of dating women who didn't want stability he laughed and said,
"I think I need you to be my coach, I guess! Thank you coach!"
Yes. I am available for coaching. I'm also available for candle light dinners and taking care of a three-year-old little boy. Of course, I’d have to get in a line of millions of women on that one. Plus, I think Jason has the best chance of being chosen as the next "Bachelor." He told reporters he was ready for it if it happened,
"I haven’t been approached on it at all. I'm just back to my regular life. If they asked me it's something I would consider. You can really find somebody in a show like that. Anything is possible."
By the way, ABC just announced they are doing a "Where Are They Now?" show next Monday the 14th (the day before my birthday!). DeAnna and Jesse head to Vail, Colorado to visit Trista and Ryan Sutter. The two couples compare notes about their time on the series. Trista and Ryan also offer some advice about moving forward with their life together as a couple after the show. The show will also have updates on Andrew Firestone, Aaron Buerge and other past contestants.
I'm also sad to report that ABC just informed us that "The Bachelor" won't return until mid-season, which means around January 2009. So, it will be a long wait!
OK, here is the truth. DeAnna picks all the wrong guys. Jason, had a pure love and she picks the snow boarder, Jessie?... He almost threw up in the bushes just going to pick out a ring! If she wanted a family, she wouldn't pick a guy who is a step away from breaking his neck and no career for when he grows up. I like DeAnna and wanted her to truly be happy. I wish she had a mother to guide her in this match. Any mature woman, would have made a different choice. Even watching the post show. Jessie looked like a deer in the head lights. I guess, we shall see........
SO HAPPY FOR DEANNA AND JESSE. THE OTHER GUYS WERE ALL WRONG FOR HER. TOO MANY WERE THERE JUST TO PARTY AND HAVE FUN,WHILE 3 OF THEM WERE THERE FOR HER. SHE DEFINITELY CHOSE THE RIGHT ONE. YOU COULD SEE THE RELATIONSHIO DEVELOPING DURNG THE SHOW. JEREMY WAS TOO MUSHY,AND SURE OF HIMSELF,AND JASON,ALTHOUG A NICE GUY,WSS NOT HER REAL TYPE TO SETTLE DOWN WITH.
SO GLAD THE BACHELOR FRO THE OTHER SHOW, DIDN'R PICK HER. HE WOULD HAVE DUMPED HER AS SOON AS HE COPULD. TOO MUCH INTO HIMSELF. HOPE HE NEVER FINDS LOVE. WHO WOULD TRUST HIM,ANYWAY.
I can't even imagine how hard this could be to try to find mr. right in a short time. I can see how Deanna floundered on her decisions back and forth especially as time went on. You do change your mind as time goes on and I think when Jesse finally came out of his shell she attracted to him because he was fun to be around and always had a good time no matter what he was doing. Finding a good relationship is hard enough without having the cameras on you 24/7. The pressure is incredible. I think that Jeremy is a great guy but I think Deanna saw some control issues and a little too much perfection maybe. Jason is great also he actually works in the same building as me. I have yet to see him though. I think he is great but I am not sure Deanna was ready for the family part yet. I think that her and Jesse have as good of a chance as any and I think that they can grow up together while finding themselves.
Jason is HOT! Any woman will be lucky to get him...And Ty is adorable...Good luck to him this season!!!
Jason good luck in finding Mrs right I hope that you read her like you did DeAnna for you were good and she knew she wasn't ready for you she said she was okay but she wasn't ready to be a mom yet she showed that and that did hurt me and you million of others.so jason take your time and try to get to know all the ladies and if you need help i hate to say this but DeAnna or brothers let your sister in law meet them or hack let me come on the show and be a waitress and i will feel them out yes or no smile. Jason you are smart and i do believe you will pick the right one follow your heart and dream
