'The Bachelorette's' DeAnna and Jesse's "Rad" Wedding Plans
I hate to say, "I told you so"... but I will anyway, "I told you so!" My clues to why I thought DeAnna would choose Jesse over Jason on "The Bachelorette" were spot on and last night her choice was revealed and it was Jesse Csincsak (pronounced SIN-SACK). The 26-year-old snowboarder got down on bended knee and proposed to "D" with a 2.32 carat $60,000 Tacori ring.
So, how did a longhaired, free spirit (who describes things as "rad" and "ridiculous" and thought telling someone "I'm so into you" was pouring his heart out) get the girl? -- By just being himself.
On a conference call with reporters this morning the happy couple talked all about their unconventional TV courtship. Anyone who reads my blogs knows I like to knock "The Bachelor" for its lame track record, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think DeAnna and Jesse may go the distance here. At least, I think they will make it to the altar anyway. They have already set a wedding date of May 9, 2009. The significance being that May 9 is the date they got engaged. DeAnna told me she definitely plans to take Jesse's last name which she joked she is just learning to spell. Here's more from their conversation this morning with reporters.
What do you love about Jesse?
DeAnna: “I love that I have, for the first time in my life, I have a man that I can depend on.”
What do you love about DeAnna?
Jesse: “My thing with her is that she always puts a smile on my face. No matter what we do or where we are, I'm always happy with her. She makes my palms sweat everyday.”
How hard was it watching DeAnna's romance with Jason last night?
Jesse: “When I was going through this process I kept telling myself that I was the only guy and I had to just mentally tell myself there were no other guys there. Watching it was definitely tough but I have told her this - I'm only worried about it from the day that that ring went on her finger forward -- and everything that happened before that is in the past.”
Will you have a televised wedding?
DeAnna: "We don’t really know. We are just taking it day by day. No one has mentioned anything to us. We both know that we have a lot of fans who follow us and a lot of people want to see the happy ending. So, I think we are open to the idea."
Jesse: "It's our day. We are not really too sure if we are interested in being super publicized wedding day thing. It's something that we are not necessarily opposed to but we haven't even really discussed it."
Hopefully pink is not your favorite color like Trista?
DeAnna: “Pink is not my favorite color! I don’t think Jesse would let me do that. I think we are talking brown, chocolate brown.”
Have you thought yet about whether or not you are ready for children?
Jesse: “We definitely want to have kids but we want to obviously experience our relationship to the fullest before we go and have any bambinos.”
When you first saw her did you know you would make it to finals and, ultimately, win it, Jesse?
Jesse: "I thought I was going home night one. I walked out and there were 24 big, massive studly looking Abercrombie & Fitch models and I was the goofball with slicked down greasy hair and a really stupid sport coat on. I definitely thought I was going to be going home but she looked through all the visible stuff and took the chance to get to know me and I was really psyched to get to know her. I never thought in a million years a girl like DeAnna would look through the physical features."
DeAnna: "My fiancé underestimates himself. He is smoking hot he is beautiful and he underestimates himself way too much."
What are your immediate plans?
Jesse: "We are actually getting ready to go back to Ohio to spend some time with my family there and then we are going to take a short trip to Mount Hood so I can take some photos for snowboarding and DeAnna can learn to snowboard. Then, when we get done with that, I think we are going to drive through Yellowstone National Park back to Colorado, drop my car off truck it down to Georgia and spend some time with her family and friends till the winter."
How did you feel about Jeremy coming back to talk to you?
DeAnna: "It was pretty shocking to me. I tried to be as open and honest with him when I let him go and I know some times it's hard to understand. I know you realize hours later that, 'Oh you wish you could have said this… you wish you could have had the guts to say this.'"
What do you think if Jason were chosen to the next "Bachelor?"
DeAnna: "Jesse and I are all about it. We are going to be friends with Jason forever. He is a great guy. He wishes the best for us and we definitely think that he would make a wonderful Bachelor. We will be there all the way threatening the girls and telling them they better treat him right!"
What do you say to people who are skeptical about this relationship working out?
DeAnna: "People are always going to be skeptical. We can't change everybody’s mind. We can only do the best for ourselves. Yeah we decided to go on a reality show and meet each other and fall in love but it's just the way we met. It doesn't make or break us. We are a normal couple. We have a normal relationship. I can't go online and go to all the bloggers and the message boards and say please believe me I'm really in love. If they don't choose to believe me then there is nothing I can do. I'm really happy. I'm really engaged and I'm really going to marry this man."
There are rumors on the Internet that you are pregnant DeAnna?
DeAnna: “That’s so funny. Actually someone asked me last week when I was doing interview. I thought, 'Man, I must have gained a couple of pounds now that I’m happily in love.' I guess I should hit the treadmill a little more.
Jesse: “I’ll clear that up. We are not pregnant!”
ABC SHOULD PUT WEDDING ON TV. THE FANS WANT TO SEE IT. IT WOULD BE SO SAD IF ABC DOES NOT MAKE A DEAL WITH THM TO HAVE IT ON TV.

I knew she was going to pick Jesse after she let Graham go. Deanna and Jesse are both free spirits and have fun together. The other guys were more about touching her physical beauty, but you could see that Jesse was more about friendship first and keeping a respectful distance and just having fun together. Their first kiss was natural, not awkward like the other guys. Pure magic. He is such a great guy - adorable. What a nice couple they make. Best of luck in love and life to them. Make it work!

I think it's the smartest thing you've ever done to pick Jesse. Congratulations to you both. I wish you much happiness throughout your lives and I for one totally believe you are really in love. I'm doing my best to ignore the naysayers and hope you both do the same.

I agree with DeAnna! Jesse is smoking hot!!! He got better and better looking throughout the whole process. He is the only one who seemed to really love DeAnna...obviously. The others seemed more concerned about themselves and their own problems. Jesse just loved her. Beautiful! Now...I want to see the wedding!!!!! I miss seeing them on Monday nights!!!

This is a sweet interview. I love Jesse and DeAnna together, the show was over several weeks ago but I still smile whenever I think about them.
I respect DeAnna for putting her heart on the line and being so open to every guy there. She was richly rewarded for her bravery, she walked away with the best man in the bunch! He will treat her like gold. I hope she spoils him back, he deserves it.

I am so happy for the two of you! Jesse when you walked out of the limo I said to myself now there is a guy who knows how to be himself. Jesse you are so honest and kind hearted and I'm so happy that you found DeAnna. I would also love to see the wedding!! God Bless many years of happiness.
I have to admit that Jesse was not my first choice. From the very beginning I had Jeremy and Jason picked to be the final two. I have to say that I learned to really adore Jesse and respect him for just being himself. I think we can all learn a lesson from him. Congrats to both of you. Keep it honest, keep it open and put God in the middle of everything you do. Then, it can't fail!

Personally I think they just want more attention and that is why they are trying to stay in the limelight. If they were truly a normal couple, they would fade from public and get on with their lives. But, if they did that, the wouldn't get a fabulous wedding via ABC, even though they haven't discussed the possibility.....yeah, rrriiiight!!! They just want more attention, so much so that they are now selling their clothes on e-bay!
i feel deanna made Jason look like a joke on natioal tv that was not right she played him and she lost a great guy like jason i feel that jason is a better man for her then jesse i feel she could not handle ty jason son she wants to have fun travel if you pick jason he could not do that cause of ty she is the loser not jason jason is a better man then jesse he has nothing to offer her jesse is a loser jason will find love and deanna will be heart broken some day for what she did to jason i hope she hurts for a long time
I liked Jesse from day one. I'm a 47 year old woman, mother of 5, and I felt Jesse was himself and hoped Deanna would listen to him and give him a chance. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He is obviously comfortable in his own skin. Jason was a nice guy and all, but there was no magic even though the network was trying to make it seem that way. The body language and eye contact between Jeese and Deanna was unbelievable. I loved the way he held back and got to know her first. That certainly paid off. The bottom line is LOVE is LOVE, no matter where your path is destined to take you to find it!! May my children find true love in whatever is their destined path. Deanna and Jesse may you SHRED FOREVER!!!!
You and Jesse look great together. I hope things work out good. I'll be watching to keep informed. It's a good idea to wait a while for kids, you and Jesse need to have fun with each other before kids but I'm sure you two will have beautiful kids,
