'Deal Or No Deal's' Million Dollar Girl On What She'll Do With The Money
In a conference call this afternoon the pregnant mother of one from Sandy, Utah told reporters her plans for the money,
"We are moving to Texas," she said. "We are going to move around the first of the year to Austin and buy our first home which we are really excited about. We didn't think that would happen for a couple of more years. I'm really excited to just be able to furnish it all at once and have it the way I want it and put it away for education for our children and when I lose my baby weight I'm going shopping. We are really going to try and be responsible with it and make it work for our family and grow"
One plan she definitely doesn't have is to name her new son, due in four weeks, after host Howie Mandel or the Banker,
"I don't think so! We don't really have a name yet."
She also won't be naming her child after the number four, which was the briefcase she chose that had the million bucks,
"Haven't considered it and probably won't!"
Robinson auditioned for the show in Salt Lake City. However, she nearly left when she saw the huge line of people who had come to the open call. Her husband, Ross, a product developer is the one who convinced her to stay. They spent seven hours in line. The green maternity shirt she wore on the show is the same one she wore to the audition and she considers it to now be lucky.
To celebrate her big win, friends gathered together for a viewing party in Utah.
"One of my neighbors, so sweet, decided she would host a party and it was fabulous. Their were well over 100 people there and we had a projector up and we had a big screen. It was so fun to relive it and it to see it. It was so fun to share with everyone."
Unfortunately, Robinson won't actually receive the prize money until January. She has made one mad money purchase so far,
"This is the dumbest thing but I have been wanting this one straight ironer, you know for my hair for forever. It's the silliest thing and I should just go buy it and I did!"
you are one lucky person. Congratulations! Don't know if you will read this - if you do please put away some money for the future. Put it in a CD or some instrument that's safe and won't loose value. In a few years you will thank your self. Have fun with house hunting.
