Another 'Bachelorette' Couple Bites The Dust
Well, it was only a matter of time before reality set in and Deanna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak would realize they had nothing in common. It happened a little bit faster than I expected though.
I would have bet they made it a few more months but this morning Deanna told In Touch magazine that she had called off her engagement to the 26-year-old snowboarder telling the magazine, "I really felt like I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. I thought he was my fairy-tale ending. But after the show was over and we settled in to our normal lives, I slowly came to realize that we are two totally different people and it wasn't going to work out."
So, this brings the shows track record for "The Bachelorette" to 1 and 4. Still much better than "The Bachelors" record of 1 and 12, but then again, there have been a lot more of that show.
This makes me a little concerned for the fate of new Bachelor Jason Mesnick, who is currently filming the 13th season, which begins airing in January. The stakes are much higher considering he has a 3-year-old son he will be introducing to his chosen woman. Poor kid.
Can we just please admit that this show doesn't work?! At least not in the sense that it does what it sets out to do - make marriages. This is not to say that I think they should cancel it or I would not watch it. It's pure entertainment. As long as you realize it's like watching a romantic, extended version of "Blind Date" without the silly pop ups.
Speaking of which, can we just make a case to bring back that brilliant little dating show. It was the one dating show that didn't take it self too seriously.
After watching the Bachelor and Bachelorette programs throughout the years, I have wondered if there really will ever be a happy ending on these programs.
My answer: Absooluetly not.
I now wonder about the next one.
When will these people ever learn that these are all for publicity, not reality.
I really think these shows are silly! Don't think they will last much longer. People who watch these shows have nothing better to do with their time.
