On The Lindsay Lohan Flap
If you're reading this, it's probably because you've seen the headlines about my recent interview with Lindsay Lohan. Nobody knows what word she used... what we DO know is that she is a huge Obama supporter. Her many blogs of support have been well documented.
As for me not questioning her on the use of the supposed word "colored"... if you replay the moment back in a quiet room five times and still cannot understand it, how was I supposed to hear an unintelligible word in the midst of an interview?
Howard Stern played the moment for Robin Quivers this morning three times and she still couldn't make sense of it.
When stuff like this happens I immediately ask, "What was the person's intention?" In this case, I don't feel Lindsay meant any harm, if she indeed did use the word. It was a mistake for which I'm sure she'd be sorry for.
Her intention, in my opinion was never to hurt anyone.
Good lord, it is obvious that she is a supporter of Obama. If she used a "politically incorrect" phrase out of benign ignorance then people just need to let it go. I am sure after the beating she is taking on this she won't make that mistake again, if indeed it happened.
Of course she meant no harm...
She is just really showing her oblivious true colors, that's all...some people should never be allowed to speak.
They used to say that about "coloured people".
She'd get a pass if she was 60+, who even uses "colored" anymore? That's like someone referring to her as "pale face". Lindsay may not be viciously racist but this does show an ignorance that too many Americans are proud of and so arrogant about. If anything, this bliss will be the downfall of our country.

I agree with you. It's hard to hear what Lindsay said without replaying the interview. And, as you say, her written thoughts were clearly supportive of Obama's campaign and ecstatic about his victory.

I just watched you in an interview with a stylist who is rumored to have an eating disorder. You really need to educate yourself on eating disorders before you go questioning someone and then doing the worst thing of all: commenting on their body! Telling her that she had "meat" on her was the absolute worst thing that you could do! She actually was still obviously thin by the look of her legs in those jeans. Also, you don't have to look like your about to die before you are diagnosed. There is a range in body mass index that would categorize someone with an eating disorder. Your words can really send someone with the illness in a downward spiral. Please educate yourself on eating disorders before you interview anyone on the subject matter.
