Dish Of Salt: And Then There Were Two On The Bachelor

It's down to the finale three -- Jillian, Melissa and Molly, who last night all flew to New Zealand for their fantasy dates with Jason.

First, we have to suffer through an interminable recap of Jason's feelings for all three women.

Jason thinks Jillian might be too strong and independent for him. Why do guys have such a problem with these types of women!?

As for Molly, Jason seems completely smitten and just wants her to open up more to him. Melissa on the other hand, Jason says he is "leery of girls like her." He's not sure if she is ready to settle down but his biggest problem with her was not being able to meet her family. Melissa says its because her family is very private but Jason thinks other issues might be lurking.

Jillian is first up on the fantasy date roster, which in the past has not been a good spot. By the time the Bachelor or Bachelorette gets to the final fantasy date, the first person is out of sight and out of mind.

Jason arrives via helicopter to pick up Jillian and take her for a ride over the amazing New Zealand scenery. They land on a rock overlooking a lake and share a picnic. Jason questions their lack of passionate chemistry and says to camera, "she is somebody I can be friends with forever." Kiss of death!

Later, at dinner, Jillian tells Jason she is "crazy about him" and that they were "meant to be together." Then, Jillian asks Jason if he has something to give to her. He does of course -- the fantasy suite card (to forgo her room and stay in his). They head off to their suite and Jason all of a sudden decides he has strong feelings for her. The clothes come off, the bikinis come on and it's hot tub time and we are forced to watch them make out for what seems like ten TV minutes in the hot tub. I'm sure her parents must have been horrified to watch this intense PDA.

Next up it's Molly's fantasy date. The duo go bungee jumping and take the opportunity to make a dozen comparisons to it being like falling in love. At lunch Molly presents Jason with a list of twenty questions about him as a way to get to know him like, "what's your favorite ice cream?" This reminds me of a great book I own called "4000 Questions For Getting To Know Anyone and Everyone." I wonder if she took the questions from this book.

At dinner Jason reveals to the cameras, "I could picture Molly as my wife" but wonders if she will open up and share her feelings with him. Jason mentions that her family seems very unaffectionate and wonders if she might be this way too. She tries to reassure him and tells him, "I really think I'm falling in love with you."

Molly busts out question number twenty, a card she wrote that asks him to spend the night with her instead of him reading the fantasy suite card to her. The bikinis go on and this times it's a bathtub full of bubbles instead of a hot tub. Fortunately, we don't have to watch them make out the way he did with Jillian

Finally, Jason meets up with Melissa and takes her on a boat ride on the lake. It's hot tub time already as the bikini goes on and they take a daytime soak. Rather than a huge make out session, this is where Jason questions Melissa about not being able to meet her family. She explains that she is close with her family and if she loves him so will they but Jason seems unconvinced telling the cameras, "I can fall in love with Melissa without meeting her parents but it can only go so far." A little bit of foreshadowing perhaps for what's to come?

At dinner they continue discussing the fact that Jason has not met her parents. Let's move on from this pleassseeee. Jason presents Melissa with the fantasy card and she acts like she didn't know it was coming. Melissa stumbles and stutters before telling Jason she has "fallen head over heels in love" with him.

Jason tells Chris Harrison he hasn't made up his mind yet about which woman to send home. (Yet he'll be proposing to one of them in a week). He watches video pleas from each of the three girls. In her video Molly tells him, "I am positive I am madly in love with you." Jason sheds a tear while pondering his decision. Does anyone happen to notice that he all of a sudden has changed ties? At the rose ceremony he tells the girls he is falling for all three of them, which certainly would make me sick to my stomach if I were standing there.

He sends Jillian home. Jason takes her aside and tells her he let her go because he can't keep up with her life. She tries to convince him otherwise but he continues to give her reasons why he didn't choose her. Jillian then busts out and tells Jason she is in love with him and recounts a dream she had about his son, which really only throws salt on her wound since Jason just stares at her in disbelief considering she has never actually met his son. As Jillian cries in the limo, Jason sits alone and cries on a bench.

A preview for the finale promises a shocking twist that will happen at the "After The Final Rose" ceremony. I could tell you what it is but then I'd have to kill you. Now Jason has already revealed that he is engaged to one of the girls. If you are smart cookie and have been watching this show since its inception I bet you can figure it out yourself.
