Get Ready For 'Hannah Montana The Movie'
That being said, I attended one of the earliest screenings in conjunction with my work here at AccessHollywood.com preparing for our "Meet Miley Contest" along with Disney and Yahoo's OMG!, the results of which you'll see back here beginning April 6.
That being said, this movie is fantastic!
You've got to put all of your film pretensions aside when watching it; this is not "The Reader" or "Babel" - it's a fun teen movie that sets out to be the best it can be for its genre. And it certainly achieves that.
I found myself completely taken back to teenage-hood for this film - the same way in which films like "Bring It On," "Mean Girls" and "Clueless" did for me. It's the kind of movie that you'll likely be singing along with and quoting to friends for years to come. It has heart and passion, and it's just plain a fun ride.
The movie certainly serves as a vehicle for Miley Cyrus to begin moving forward from the "Hannah Montana" role, but it by no means is an end to the character.
Supporting cast members Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Margo
Martindale, Melora Hardin and Vanessa Williams all come across so
incredible, warm and engaging. And watch out for newcomer Lucas Till -
this young man is going to set many teenage hearts aflutter when this
movie comes out. And see if you can spot the cameo from former
"American Idol" finalist Bucky Covington.
Let me also say, I had no obligation to write this review. If I hadn't liked the movie, I wouldn't have felt compelled to take time out of my busy workday to blog about it. And I don't want you to think of this as a review - it's just a personal expression of my excitement.
I, for one, have caught "Hannah Montana" fever (well, there's really two of us - my co-worker Susan M is going gaga for "HMTM" too!).... And I'm man enough to admit it!

Oh, man. I'm a big fan of Hannah Montana, but I don't have a good impression about the movie after seeing several dissapointing clips (especially those about the horrible "The Climb) and knowing that John Debney is going to be the composer, cause he has composed awful scores.
But this review gives me at least hope that the film could turn out to be good after all, even though every person has it's own individual opinion
I admit, just as you I was not a fan. I blogged about it. Same thoughts as you, I would never see a Hannah Montana movie. When I found out Bucky Covington was going to be in the movie it excited me for that reason. Now I have not yet seen the actual movie, but from the trailers and specials CMT has shown and all the you tube hype (looking for Bucky) I am intrigued and will be going to see it. The CMT (Or GAC cant remember) special leads to all the things you have written about. I'll be back to tell you after the viewing. Standing up to say....I am going to see a Hannah Montana movie and I might walk out a fan.
I with you! I can't wait to see this movie! I'm a Mom with a 13 year daughter who used to like "Hannah Montana" but has moved on. I hate to tell her this but she is coming with me, I had to sit through two concerts of Miley/Hannah back in the day so this time she has to sit therough the movie so I can see my favorite country singer, Bucky Covington, in his cameo role. And Billy Ray too!
Thanks for mentioning Bucky! Enjoy the movie!
hey my 6 year old granddaughter is a fan of both miley and bucky so i'm taking her to it she is so excited...me too to see bucky and billy ray and miley for her...miley is good though...thanks for mentioning bucky alot alos...
Miley Cyrus is just 16. Going thru changing is becoming a real adult. Just hoping that don't ruin her health from anyone crazy.
I'm glad she likes to make this film for anyone that enjoys her.
Hopefully her mom and dad never said: Move Out at 18.
Around here is not being asked. Ours just waited until we are ready or married.
We need to be humble according to the bible.
Hopefully we can turn this economy around and actually focus on solving the deeper, systemic issues for why we're in this situation. Obviously bad banking's a good place to start, but there are other issues, like global poverty, that have huge economic and geopolitical ramifications.
The Borgen Project (www.borgenproject.org) has some interesting insight into addressing the issues of global poverty, something we can remedy easily and sustainably.
Some interesting figures to ponder:
$30 billion USD: The annual shortfall to end global poverty.
$550 billion USD: The annual US defense budget.
I have 2 daughters and took them to see it and I LOVED it. I thought it was cute and love the new song.."The Climb"
what is money? :)
