'The Bachelorette's' Tanner Needs A Pedicure!
Last week was obviously a trying week with the loss of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and yesterday Billy Mays (with whom I had a personal connection.) So, I wasn't able to get this story up until now. Tanner made me laugh though. So I wanted to make sure I gave him a little Dish of Salt love. Things get a bit racy towards the end so click away if you are not old enough to attend R rated movies.
Well if you recall, I made a blunder when I wrongly reported, a month or so before "The Bachelorette" started airing, that Tanner was a single dad. Fortunately, Tanner forgave me for this mistake after I re-canted. We had a lovely conversation about shoe size, pedicures and whether he's now a stud back in Dallas where he lives.
Tanner will forever go down as the foot fetish guy. Joel McHale had loads of fun with this on E's "The Soup" but not surprisingly Tanner says he played it up for the cameras,
"It was a lot of embellishing on my part. It's not really a fetish. I mean fetish sounds like dirty and risqué to me. Obviously I'm attracted a little bit to a girl's foot but that's not the main part. I just think it's hot when a girl has pretty feet."
While some gals might find the feet thing a bit creepy, Tanner says it's had the opposite effect on the ladies back in Dallas.
"Dallas is kind of a Mecca for reality show junkies" he admits. "It is crazy and I've taken lots and lots of pictures with girls and their feet. They're like 'hey how do you like my feet? Take a picture of me and my feet!'"
So the ladies love him. This is a good thing because he did admit that he went on the show to enhance his love life. Being a reject on "The Bachelorette" is like your very own personal dating ad for eight million women to view. These guys are getting bombarded left and right with women after they go on the show. It doesn't seem to work in the reverse though. I've never had one girl who was on "The Bachelor" tell me how men were tracking her down after the show for a date.
Back to Tanner's feet because, well that's what everyone will remember about him besides being the guy who ratted on someone for having a secret girlfriend back home. He told me he's never had a pedicure because he thinks it's a "feminine" thing. Hey Tanner, real men get mani/pedis. My 94-year-old grandpa went every week for a polish up until the day he died and the ladies loved him. Someone send me a salon near his house and I'll send him a gift certificate for some foot pampering.
I'm sure the ladies didn't mind when Tanner showed off his hot body to Jillian on the show last week when he stripped his pants to reveal his "manties", as likes to call them. Some guy on the conference call was ballsy enough to ask him if he stuffed his shorts!
"Negative sir. I was just blessed," Tanner replied. "That was the thing and all the guys knew it because we had outdoor showers and so they all called me 'King Dong' and other things. Some guys would shower with their swimsuits on and I wasn't about to do that."
Perhaps a career in porn could be in Tanner's future? Kidding.
