Comic Con Day Three: Back To The Vampires

vampirediaries.jpgMy third and final day of Comic Con I was feeling a little tired but I perked right up when I saw the cast of "Chuck."  At "The Wolverine" premiere Zach Levi had promised me a role on the show if they got picked up for season three. So, I need to take this opportunity to secure my screen time. Unfortunately, it didn't go as well as planned since Zack admits he makes many empty promises! What!? So, I went straight to the creators and shmoozed them a bit. I even had I great idea (thanks to the shows publicist) for a fight scene with Yvonne Strahovski and I. I think they liked it. So, just in case this really does happen I'll keep the details to myself.

We literally had to run (which is tough in six inch heels) to get over to the room where the stars of "Lost" would be. They didn't tell us which actors would be at Comic Con. I knew Jorge (Hurley) was here as I saw him on the convention floor on Thursday afternoon. I turned out to be Josh Holloway (Sawyer), Michael Emerson (Ben) and Nestor Carbonell (Richard). I've never met Josh in person and let me just say he is yummy in person! Everyone talked about how this year will be bittersweet as its their last but they are looking for the resolution to the show. Emerson revealed that many "dead" characters would be coming back this season which made me ponder if quite possibly no one ever really dies on the island. He said I might be on to something! Good to know. Just don't bring back Nikki and Paolo please ABC.
Next up was the cast and creators of "The Cleveland Show", the spin-off of "Family Guy." Jamie Kennedy is one of the voices in the show but of course I had to ask him about engagement rumors to his girlfriend and "Ghost Whisperer" co-star, Jennifer Love Hewitt. He said they are not engaged but its certainly headed that way and joked we would be the second to know. J Love of course being first! I also asked Seth MacFarlane about how he ended up in the "Flash Forward" pilot and whether or not we will see more of him in it.  We will.

I headed down to the convention floor where the cast of "True Blood" was signing autographs. It was complete and utter chaos. What a difference a year makes. Last year the show had not even premiered yet and no one really knew about it. This year they were mobbed. I was able to chat briefly (in between signatures) with the cast about all their great success. A nice little exclusive thanks to my friends at HBO!

I headed back upstairs to meet the cast of ABC's remake of the 80's mini-series "V." I was way too young to remember it but having just watched the pilot episode in my hotel room for the new one, I was certainly interested to talk to the stars about how different this version would be. Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet on "Lost") is one of the stars but she says we will see Juliet again on "Lost" she just doesn't know in which capacity. She hopes people will accept her in a new show. Scott Wolf plays a journalist in "V" and told me he looked to his friend Billy Bush for a little advice but his journo character is a pretty shady guy.

I wrapped my day up again with my most anticipated interviews, the cast of CW's "Vampire Diaries." It was my favorite new pilot of the season. It's got a young, hot cast and who isn't loving vampires right now. There have been complaints about it being a rip off of "Twilight" but I found it to be very, very different. The only comparison is its got a hot guy as its lead vampire, Stefan!  Paul Wesley plays Stefan and wow is he a hottie in person! Ian Somerhalder plays the badass brother of Stefan and he is fantastic in this evil guy role. He also revealed to me he will be back as Boone on "Lost" this season. I think after people see Vampire Diaries Boone will be a distant memory. If the "Twilight" fans can give this a shot, I have a feeling its going to be a huge "Gossip Girl" style hit.
