We are just weeks away from the start of the new Fall TV season. I'm giddy with anticipation and my three DVRs are all ready to start working overtime at my house. I love a good reality show, which the summer is chock full of, but I really can't wait to dive into some of the juicy new comedies and dramas the networks are offering.
Together with our TV aficionados -- Bryant Huddleston and Stephanie Murphy -- we have come up with the five new shows we think you should watch this season.
FOX's "Glee" - A high school dramedy about a group of misfits who, with the help of a well meaning teacher, start a brand new Glee club.
Dish: It's edgy, it's funny, it's witty, it's charming, it's snarky and it's got get up and dance musical numbers minus syrupy Vanessa Hudgens and too-perfect Zac Efron.
Bryant: Refreshing, fun, edgy and episode three should be watched by every parent of a gay child. Beautiful! Bravo to creator Ryan Murphy!
Steph: Fun...heartwarming....and different! I love that a show can make me laugh out loud and tear up all in one episode. I wish St. Lucy's High School had a Glee club but now I have one..in my shower!
CW's "Vampire Diaries" - a series based on the best selling horror novels by author LJ Smith.
Dish: Vampires are so hot right now and this show to me feels like the perfect cross between "True Blood" and "Twilight." It's got a sexy love triangle between vampire brothers Damon and Stefan and a brooding leading lady in human Elena... but its much edgier and darker than "Twilight" with a bit more "True Blood" style gore (the kind network TV can get away with as opposed to a cable show).
Bryant: I liked it. Didn't love it, but I liked it. I know it has potential plus the cast is GORGEOUS! Bite Me! Please! Oh and then go watch the better show... "Melrose Place"!
Steph: Brings me back to my teenage angst. Oh to be young again and drool over hot dangerous guys This show has me sucked in.
ABC's "Flash Forward" - for 2 minutes and 17 seconds the entire world blacks out. This series explores what happened and why.
Dish: As "Lost" wraps up its final season, I think audiences will be equally engaged by this show. However, I must warn that you have to stay put through the entire first episode. If you tune out too soon, you'll miss the ending and what it is about this show that will keep you coming back for more.
Bryant: Loved it! Event TV!
Steph: I'll be honest, I haven't seen the pilot but with all this buzz around this show I can't wait to see it. Tivo is already set for the season!
NCIS: Los Angeles - a spin-off of CBS hit show military crime show "NCIS"
Dish: The closest thing to a sure fire hit as you can get. Might I remind you of the success of "CSI: New York" and "CSI: Miami." The old folks who watch CBS love a good spin-off.
Bryant: "NCIS" on CBS is a huge hit. Who knew? This should be no different. It's a brand that works and Chris O'Donnell needs to feed his 28 kids. Watch it!
Steph: I have never watched an episode of the original but I will watch this! Love the LA setting and love the LL...Cool J that is!
NBC's "The Jay Leno Show" - Jay moves his "Tonight Show" shtick to primetime five nights a week.
Dish: So here is the deal. We have not seen anything yet about the show but we know Jay and we love him so we hope this experiment works for NBC. If it does, it could change the landscape of primetime TV forever.
Bryant: I'm not gonna lie. I'm being forced to say something here. I will NEVER watch that show. But I do like Jay as a person. No seriously, I do.
Steph: How can you not tune in to see what Jay Leno has planned? Will this change primetime TV? Is he really building a race track? I am getting tickets to see this in person.

Will watch your recommends. Thanks! I would like to add CBS Three Rivers because of Alex O'Loughlin. ;)
I have to agree with this 5 shows.
I am looking forward Flash Forward , NCSI LA and Vampire Diaries.
Glee, not so sure yet.
I am really curious to check the new Leno.
Anyway, the show I am more looking forward is Vampire Diaries. I love True Blood and Twilight , so I cannot wait for Vampire Diaries to start. The promo looks fanstastic.
You're right , Vampires are HOT this year and everybody knows this. Well , except for CBS , that canceled Moonlight , they took the fangs from sexy Mick St. John and instead gave him a stethoscope and a mask ! LOL!!! Perfect timing! LOL!!!.
