Emmy Wrap Up: The Gifting Suite Experience

sheengiftlounge.jpgAll over town leading up to Emmy night the stars were hitting up gifting suites to get in on the latest and greatest products from shoes to jewelry, clothes, skin care products and more. I spent Friday and Saturday doing a little lounge hopping and nowhere was more star-studded than the Lipton VitaliTea Gift Lounge produced by On 3 Productions. That's because while other lounges hold their events off site, this lounge was right downstairs, inside of the Nokia Theater -- the one place where all the nominees and presenters were sure to be.

I arrived on Saturday to find Jennifer Love Hewitt, looking lovely in a long black sundress, with her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy by her side, just finishing up making the rounds through the lounge. All the weekly magazines had their microphones out trying to get the scoop on their romance. They seem like a cute couple to me and at Comic Con in July Jamie said a proposal is definitely not out of the question for them. He joked Access Hollywood would be the second to know (besides J-Love) when he did pop the question.

Now, for every celeb that stopped by the lounge Lipton Green Tea made a donation to the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates - http://www.nationalcasa.org/). All they had to do was compete in a little challenge - a blind-fold taste test of their green teas and a virtual basketball game. J-Love and Jamie were in the lead with 17 points but they doubled up their points I heard. That's cheating! I apparently scored more points than J-Love did on her own. Take that Jennifer Love Hewitt! In the end it was "Gossip Girl" Blake Lively who won the competition.

Comic legend Bob Newhart popped down to the lounge after rehearsing, as did Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Poehler who came in together. Poehler just had her ears pierced and was super excited to grab sterling silver earrings from Kameleon Jewelry. After she left I went and checked out all the baubles. The stuff is very cool because it has interchangeable jewels which pop in for every item. So you can change up the colors to go with whatever you are wearing. Lively grabbed 19 different colored jewel pops to go with the bracelets she snagged. Julia grabbed a Flip MinoHD and told everyone she would capture the Emmy festivities on it and post to her Facebook page. So go check for that!

Lively's "Gossip Girl" co-star, Leighton Meester, dropped in looking super casual and still flawless with not a stitch of makeup and wearing fun, funky eye glasses. She loved the Nespresso lattissima machine. I overheard her saying she was a "sensitive sally" when it comes to coffee. Does that mean its decaf only for Blair Waldorf? Leighton also grabbed a brand new Palm Pixi with a cool skull design, which might just show up on "Gossip Girl"

A pair of black sky-high heels seemed to be the favorite pair. So, being the shoe lover that I am I could not resist trying on a pair just after "Private Practice's" Kate Walsh had chosen them. They fit like a glove.

All the CBS funny girls popped into the lounge during rehearsals around the same time. "The Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco looked adorable in a button down shirt that looked like she had borrowed it from her boyfriend (although, I don't even know if she has one!). Poor thing, one day before taking a walk down her first Emmy red carpet was sporting a huge zit. Yes, Kaley I'm telling everyone. I saw her the next day on the carpet looking like a golden goddess though and no signs of her zit!

On Sunday while I worked the red carpet, Shaun Robinson had the best air-conditioned spot in the house inside the gift lounge. She chatted with Debra Messing, who ironically enough had just used one of the products they were gifting in the suite, Morrocanoil. Judging from those incredible red locks it works fantastic. She also chatted with Michael J. Fox and his beautiful wife Tracy Pollan, who grabbed some really cute Anoname jeans. I've had a couple of pairs of these jeans and they fit like a glove!

After burning up on the red carpet, I headed to my seat inside the show. After my TV favorite, Jim Parsons, lost to Alec Baldwin despite the good luck charm I gave him to bring (which he did!). I was too upset to sit through the show so I headed backstage to the gift lounge to hang with Shaun and the gang. A few minutes later Kristen Chenoweth walked in but immediately came in and sat down. She complained of a migraine and sat for a while. Paramedics came down just to check her out and then sent her home. Unfortunately, she missed out on all the goodies but I'm glad to hear she is feeling better. Now someone get that girl a job!

Charlie Sheen must have been feeling the way I did because he walked in about 20 minutes after losing to Baldwin and shopped with his wife Brooke. He passed on getting a watch from Aqua Swiss for himself and let her pick one out instead saying, "A lovely watch for my lovely wife."

Right after the show ended "Weeds" star Mary-Louise Parker came in with what looked a like a new beau. Minutes later Kevin Dillon came in and both stars said they were going to zip through the lounge quickly but when they saw what great stuff there was they decided to stay for a while. Kevin said he was most excited to renew the AMC Signature Pass, which offers free movies for a year. Now that is a gift anyone would love!
