Heidi and Spencer inside the Maxim Super Bowl partyAs our Super Bowl XLII coverage continues, Access Hollywood is live on the scene from the Maxim Super Bowl party at the luxurious Scottsdale Princess resort. Dubbed by some of the stars as “THE” party to be at on Super Bowl weekend, here’s a live breakdown of all the action on the red carpet…

8:30PM – Before we hit the red carpet, Access Hollywood goes inside the party for an exclusive sitdown with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, as we put the “Hills” couple through one of our “Couples Uncensored” interviews, allowing the lovebirds to grill each other. Heidi looks more than red carpet-ready in a sexy blue mini dress, while Spencer is looking very dapper, decked out in a suave suit.

As the two arrive for the interview, Spencer is boasting a boom box on his shoulder that is playing Heidi’s new single.

Wonder if the boom box could make a fashion comeback???

OK, now onto the action from the red carpet!

9:52PM – Our first star of the night has arrived, and it’s… drum roll please…

David Spade.

The comedian hits the red carpet and (just like last night when we saw him at Nick Lachey’s party at Axis/Radius… and frankly, like just about every other time we’ve seen him) he’s rockin’ the baseball cap. David quickly makes his way down the press line, does a quick interview with Covino and Rich Show on Maxim radio and heads into the party.

Who will be the next star to come keep David company? We wait anxiously to find out…

10:12PM – It’s a good thing “E” isn’t inside, because everyone’s favorite cantankerous director Billy Walsh (aka Rhys Coiro) from “Entourage” has arrived. And who is Rhys picking to win in the big game on Sunday…

He won’t say.

That’s no fun. We'll let him off the hook since we’re huge “Queen’s Boulevard” and “Medellin” fans.

Nick Lachey's 'Super' Party

NickandVanessa.jpgAccess Hollywood was on the scene as Nick Lachey and NASCAR racer Jimmie Johnson hosted a pre-Super Bowl part at Axis/Radius in Scottsdale, Arizona. Here’s what we saw…

9:20PM - As the stars begin to trickle in, the R&B group Next arrives. Their hit song “Too Close” starts to rain from the club speakers. How did the DJ know they were here?!? Truly Hollywood magic at its finest.

9:30PM - Proving the red carpet can indeed be a laughing matter, funnyman David Spade arrives donning a baseball cap as usual. A few smiles for the cameras and the fans and he quickly makes his way inside.

9:42PM - Showing his propensity for the outdoors and an apparent immunity from mother nature, a sleeveless “American Gladiator” Wolf storms the red carpet with a smile....and a howl. Get it? Mother nature… he’s a wolf. No? Ok, moving on…

9:53PM – As we’ve seen all week in the Phoenix area, the line between sports and celebrity has once again been blurred as a plethora of pro baseball players arrive, including the likes of Reggie Sanders, Geoff Jenkins, Matt Kemp and Aaron Boone.

10:23 – About an hour after their arrival, Next is now on stage and that same hit song has played about three times since their arrival, prompting most to ask the obvious yet unavoidable question -- what's NEXT?!?

10:50PM – The red carpet is buzzing in anticipation. Something is coming. What could it be?

Hollywood & The NFL Collide

Maria Menounos and Kim Kardashian

The stars have converged upon Phoenix for Super Bowl XLII and nowhere was that clash more evident than at the DirecTV celebrity beach bowl on a sunny Thursday afternoon in Arizona.

Celebrities including Pete Wentz, Stacey Kiebler, "Gossip Girl" darling Blake Lively and "Girl Next Door's" resident tomboy Kendra Wilkinson showed off their athletic prowess against some of the NFL's biggest stars in a game of sand flag football on Thursday.

"Celebrities and football go hand in hand," said Access Hollywood's own Maria Menounos (pictured with Kim Kardashian on the sidelines), who was also hosting the event being broadcast live on SpikeTV.

And as the star studded starting lineups were announced, it was Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz who drew the loudest ovation from the packed house.

After former NFL star Raghib Ismail got the white team on the board first, Brody Jenner tied the score as he caught a touchdown pass from football legend Doug Flutie, pulling the blue team even on the board.

Remember in high school when you finally confided your secret crush to a friend and by the end of the day, the student body had the two of you as long time lovers ready to walk down the aisle?

Fun, right?

Well sadly, Hollywood is much like high school in that regard -- it's amazing how fast rumors and false reports can spread and Friday's "report" that Jay-Z was killed in a plane crash is a prime example.

Hearing the news of anyone's demise is heart wrenching, but as a huge hip hop fan who appreciates the contributions Shawn Carter has brought to the industry, it was extremely saddening.

Of course, we all know now that Jay-Z is alive and well. So with that, it's time to take a closer look at the anatomy of a rumor…

10:55 a.m. - (West Coast time) - TMZ.com posts a story saying that a small plane carrying three passengers went down in the Smoky Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina and according to rumors that were "swirling," one of the passengers was the rap impresario himself.

Quickly, the Access Hollywood news room responds and calls are made to Jay-Z's publicists, record label, manager and even personnel at his NYC club 40/40 personnel trying to verify if it is true.

Golden Globes Report

by Michael Lewittes

So here I am, once again, at the Golden Globes.

I've covered the Globes for a decade now, and never tire of this ultimately very long, tiring evening, and yet incredibly fun awardfest. Throughout the course of the evening, I'll fill you in on everything -- that you'll never see on the show.

Enjoy!

The cannonballs continue to fly back and forth from Castle Trump to Casa de "View" as the Donald-Rosie feud continues to drag out.

When today's latest grumblings hit the air, I had only one response -- Really?

Do we really need more of this absurd back-and-forth between two celebrities who are doing nothing more than clamoring for more attention? And now, even good ol' Baba Wawa has gotten involved, calling The Donald "pathetic" on Wednesday's "View."

Guess what else is pathetic? This saga.

For the record, I'm not a Rosie fan. Or a "View" fan. Or a Trump fan. I will admit I'm a newfound "Apprentice" fan and I can sum up my interest in six little letters: I-V-A-N-K-A.

If I were going to be a famous actress working in Hollywood I think Chandra Wilson of "Grey's Anatomy" would be the person whose life I would most like to have. She's a great actress on a mega hit TV show who has received an Emmy nomination and this morning a SAG nomination. Yet, she doesn't have the prying eyes of the paparazzi following her around constantly. Nobody bugs her about her personal life. Nobody cares who she is dating or married to or what designer clothes she is buying. She's able to raise her family and still go to a job she loves every day. Plus, I'm sure she makes a pretty penny on "Grey's." Sounds like a great life to me.

Rebecca Romijn Gets 'Ugly'

As if Salma Hayek weren't steaming things up enough on "Ugly Betty" as sexy Sofia Reyes, a new temptress is about to shake things up at Mode magazine. The Dish has learned that model turned actress Rebecca Romijn is joining the cast.

I doubt Salma will be sticking around for that much longer. The Oscar nominee has several film projects in the pipeline. So don't be surprised when her budding romance with editor-in-chief, Daniel goes sour and Betty's job offer to work at her magazine goes up in smoke. Salma's set to begin filming the drama "Keep Coming Back", directed and co-starring William H. Macy, in January. Considering she is the show's executive producer though, I'm sure she will be popping in on the Mode offices every once and awhile.
